Summary
Three years after the fall of Galbatorix, Murtagh is sent by Eragon to act as the rider liaison to Iliria. Murtagh and now-Queen Nasuada become reacquainted with each other, and must decide if they have a future together. Murtagh struggles with the past, feeling that he can't give Nasuada everything she deserves, and Nasuada has to balance her duties as Queen with the desires of her heart.
(This is Part 3 of a canon-compliant series following Murtagh Post-Inheritance. The first two parts are "Tornac of the Road" and "The Dark Hours". You can enjoy this story by itself, but some background and contextual things will not make sense.)

Summary
[Time passes oddly. Between one second and the next, Sokka has the Fire Lord pinned to the wall with his hands around the bastard’s throat. Golden eyes (one gold eye, his mind whispers) widen in shock.
“Sokka?” he chokes out. And then he smiles.
What the fuck?
“Sokka, I—”
Sokka slams his head against the wall, once, twice, and the smile wipes off his face. Good.
“What,” Sokka bites out, “have you done to my sister?”]
Or:
An injury leaves Sokka with amnesia. His last memory is of the failed invasion, of leaving his father behind in enemy territory on the Day of Black Sun. Of hopelessness. Rage.
But then he wakes up, and the war is over. Suddenly, he must come to terms with the fact that years have passed, and that he's somehow the Southern Water Tribe Ambassador to the Fire Nation. He is also supposedly friends with banished-Prince-turned-Fire-Lord Zuko, of all people. Close friends.

Summary
After the events of War Crimes, Sokka and Zuko have escaped Zhao’s warship and are fleeing across the Earth Kingdom. As well as unfamiliar terrain, they have to navigate their shared trauma, work out where they fit into the war, and their place in each others lives.
Sokka is aware that being friends with the enemy is going to bring complications, but he probably should have guessed that being friends with Zuko in particular, was going to be a bit like dunking your head repeatedly into a bucket of angry Fire Ferrets.
Katara is also grappling with the confusion of befriending an enemy, something that doesn’t prove as difficult as she had expected with the bond of shared, furious grief bridging old wounds. (Learning a new way to look at her bending doesn't hurt either)
Azula, struggling with the Fire Lord’s mistrust, encounters a few nasty surprises and has to make some difficult decisions. Luckily, she is a great deal better at making sensible choices than her brother.
Her father may have made a slight tactical error.

Summary
After a successful Siege of Ba Sing Se Azula offers Zuko a way back, and in spite of his one redeemed brain cell Zuko takes it. Due to everyone's confusion it doesn't make him forget about the kindness he'd learned in the Earth Kingdom or alliance with the Gaang. For over three long years coming home was all he'd cared for... It's not how he'd expected happiness to feel like.
Sokka failed his friends, Aang might be dead, and he was on his way to the Fire Nation in an exclusive prison brig. From what he'd heard from Traitorous Asshole Zuko prison life was not fun. Well, shit.

The final part of Zuko's redemption back at home sweet home with best dad™ and Azula trying to socialize him back to FN standards. Good old trope, of FN people loving half redeemed Zuko, who is a confused mess all the time.
