"Oi", uma voz mesura, baixa e aveludada, próxima.
Ele não responde de imediato, mandando um último 'Foda-se, seu merda', para o irmão antes de bloquear a tela e erguer a cabeça. "Oi", Jiang Cheng devolve, guardando o celular no bolso.
O rapaz – muito bonito, agora que pode ser apreciado de perto – torce levemente o nariz quando Jiang Cheng move o bastão em seus lábios para o canto, ainda preso à boca. Jiang Cheng não acha a expressão adorável, ele jura. "Cigarro faz mal para a saúde", ele diz e, simplesmente, o arranca da boca do Jiang e o joga no chão, pisoteando com a ponta de um all star azul.
Jiang Cheng, um pouco irritado agora, está prestes a falar alguma coisa quando o rapaz joga a mochila no chão, segura as dobras do seu blazer e o puxa para um beijo. O Jiang imediatamente fica tenso e imóvel porque— que porra é essa?

"O que?" É tudo que ele diz, depois de tortuosos segundos em silêncio profundo.
"Uh", Lan Xichen diz, brilhantemente. Ele não esperava uma reação tão calma, o que o deixa ainda mais inquieto. "Eu— bem. Deixe-me pintá-lo. Ou melhor, permita-me pintar um quadro. Seu."
A cabeça do Jiang pende para o lado e, se não estivesse tão apreensivo agora, Xichen talvez estivesse em meio a mais um ataque de devaneios sobre como é uma ação tão adorável. Os olhos ametistas encaram o chão brevemente, mas logo estão de volta no rosto do Lan.
"Por que?" Jiang Wanyin cruza os braços sobre o peito, olhando para o lado. "Eu não sou um modelo, Zewu-Jun. E tampouco classificado para ser um. Não seja ridículo."
"Porque você é lindo", Xichen diz, simples e direto. O olhar que Wanyin lhe dá, aturdido e cético, é a indicação perfeita de que sua escolha é certa. Talvez, percebeu o Lan tardiamente, conter seus pensamentos sinceros havia sido um erro terrível da sua parte. "Classificação?", ele pergunta, dando um passo corajoso à frente. "Quem disse que existe? E mesmo que sim, você se encaixaria em qualquer uma!"

But Lan Xichen was already standing, and with one raised hand his qin floated to his grasp as he sat, legs folding beneath him, beginning to play. It was a song, and Jiang Cheng could feel it in his chest. He closed his eyes.
It sounded like a love song.

Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen have always danced around one another, living in an impossible space and dancing around something that never fully began and yet has never ended. When Jiang Cheng begins secretly visiting Lan Xichen during his seclusion, the lines between memory and possibility begin to blur until one snowfall, a song, and an outstretched hand begin to change everything.
