Marlene McKinnon and Dorcas Meadowes had always had strong feelings towards one another. But for a long time, that feeling was a deep-rooted distain. Dorcas thought Marlene was obnoxious, arrogant, and self-centred. Marlene thought Dorcas was too quick to judge, stuck up, and as snobby as the rest of the Slytherins. The flawed aspects of one another’s characters had never surprised either of them.
