What if The Wen clan attacked much MUCH earlier, what if the lan clan of Gusu and the Jiang Clan of Yunmeng were both taken down months apart leaving orphans in their wake. What if said orphans Were the twin jades of Gusu and the Children (both blood and martial) of Jiang Fengmian and Madam Yu. And what if both sets of kids were taken in by gods? Lan Xichen makes a prayer for his brother that leads to them being taken in by the Water Master Shi Wudu who takes pity out of familiar histories while the Yunmeng trio happen upon a humble scrap collector Xie Lian who finds them drifting down river and takes them in knowing fully well what its like to lose your family in war.
(Partly based before the events of TGCF but will end up going in a weird retelling of the story but with teenager versions of the MDZS characters and also some minor plots that tie into the MDZS plot. )(( Slight age changing for reasons :P)){Series is complete However I personally only count part 1 and the short stories. You can read this without part 2 or 3... for reasons I dont care for them anymore, mostly with how I wrote certain characters....)

Summary
When Sizhui, Jingyi, and Zizhen are captured with Jin Ling at the Guanyin Temple, they're sure that Hanguang Jun and Wei Wuxian will fix everything - until Su She stabs Lan Wangji through the stomach, and everything falls apart around them. In a last, frantic attempt to undo the damage Jin Guangyao has done, Wei Wuxian activates a deadly array to send the four juniors back in time, sending them to the morning of Jin Ling's one-month celebration. With the fate of everyone and everything they love in their hands, Sizhui, Jin Ling, Zizhen and Jingyi race to prevent the ambush at Qiongqi Pass and the subsequent fallout, but Jin Guangyao has returned from the future as well, and he has no intention of letting what he wants fall through his hands a second time.

He did nothing still when Senior Wei pressed close and smiled at him, blood dripping from the corners of his lips. It was a gory smile, all red teeth, and so obviously forced. “It’s okay, Sizhui,” he’d said. “You’ll be okay.”

Summary
I wrote this from the perspective of Le Zhu, a minor character in Moonlight Mystique, who appears in Yi City as Chong Zhao’s second in command, but doesn’t appear later. I like looking at the perspective of people who know only part of the story - my headcanon is that Chong Zhao has not told anyone very much about what he does in Ning’an City or his relationships there.
My idea is that the Lanling Eternals start out quite naive but by the end, many of them are really questioning their Sect. This fiction explores that, and gives a view of the BS/FY relationship from the outside. I’ve made up some of the disciples.

Jinghe had never asked anything of higher powers, but this time he cried out for them to hear his prayers, to consider his pleas, to grant him a second chance.
