Summary
"There's only two things in this world you can be, the one that perseveres, or the one whose body is left for the beasts." The stable hand stated weakly.
Ink curled up beside him and tried to ignore the sounds outside his little sanctuary, the rattling of his shaking bones doing little to cover them. He picked at the spaces between his phalanges and stared unseeingly into the stalls across from them. Perseverance? The concept felt so foreign to his young and shaken mind.
How could he possibly persevere when it felt as if he was unraveling?
(A swap au of my dear friends' multi-chapter fic, Perseverance. Detailing a scenario where Asgore had not found Ink on that last search party, and Ink was forced to survive outside the kingdom walls. You do not have to read Perseverance to enjoy this fic.)

Summary
A black hole opens up between the twin stars at GEMINI, pulling one into the depths of the vast unknown and the other apart as the darkness closes in. Despite the cosmic order, that was not to be the end.
Tilda would make sure of it.

Summary
After the rebellion, the governing body of Curiam retreated to one of the far corners of the city, and Avalon was left to recover at the hands of the exhausted and beaten-down rebels. The resulting power gap led to an almost worse period of unrest and violence before the dust truly settled. And the survivors were left to pick up the fragmented pieces of themselves and attempt to move on.
Error remembers those times with an unnerving amount of clarity, letting the blood and violence become a part of his life. Though having made a name for himself, as a skilled augmentator and bio-technician, his fear of being held at the mercy of others fell into the back recesses of his mind. Though as time drifts on, he finds himself becoming more and more connected to the many children he had shared safety within the chaos of the rebellion.
Perhaps it wasn't the idea of being powerless that scared him, but the notion of being at the mercy of his own actions caused by emotion.

Summary
The plane of existence turns on a cycle of flawed concepts. Ideas and legends are fabricated for intentions that could never be made accurate. The purposal of a balanced multiverse had always been the ultimate goal—something to fight for.
Though in truth, entropy is the natural state of the multiverse.
You would know.

Summary
The world is dying.
Water green with filth and garbage, and the bodies of dead and contaminated fish litter the surface. The air heavy and stinging with pollution and the remaining humans carry what gas mask they can find to breathe clearly. Shelter becomes limited and available food is even scarcer.
Bitties are no longer useful for companionship, as breeding lines are directed to larger, more combat-fit structures as their value and rarity go up. Stranded in the middle of the chaos, Ink escapes the mill just to be thrown into another hell. Every day that drags on brings endless dangers for those he cares about, and they're forced to watch as humanity commits suicide, bringing the planet down with them.
(Bittybones fic not focused on the journey of being seen as more than a pet, and rather the struggles of being an inferior in a world that blends and falls apart at the hands of the superior.)

Summary
Ink should shut up, sit back down, and zone out till the meeting was over and he could go home. But Ink was tired of listening to the same things over and over, tired of hearing the reasons why Nightmare and Error had to die. He didn't care that people were dying, that universes were dying. If they had to die for the good of the universes then they would die, it's just how things went. The 'save everyone' mindset that all the Councils had was never meant for the multiverse, life was never built to be fair.
People died all the time. It would never matter how innocent they were, or if they were a newborn child. If the universe became corrupt, then that was that. Aldritch scowled, his green eyes glaring holes into Ink's form. "If you don't care then what of the Higher Beings? Surely they have reason to be furious if their universes are to perish."
"The Creators couldn't care less." The protector scoffed at the notion, and he could see Dream roll his eyelights off to the side. Clearly finding the idea of the Creators caring about their creation as fictional as Ink did.
The great asgore only sneered, "And how could you be so certain?"
Ink laughed, if a bit maniacally. "I see things you can't. I know."

Summary
“Jonah Magnus.” The cloudy silhouette snarled as it’s hand clamped tightly around Jonah's ascot. That was indeed his name, but Jonah couldn’t begin to fathom what he did to have it spat out with such hatred.
But nonetheless, Jonah was a gentleman and he would kindly address the angry figure as politely as possible, “Yes, and you are?”
“What?” The form spluttered as it slowly came into focus. Ah, yes. That probably wasn’t the proper response to being held at gunpoint by a random stranger. Must have been the blow to his head.
(Or in which Jonathan Sims goes back in time and tries to pull a Terminator, but fails and Jonah Magnus finds a new mystery to solve.)

Summary
Jon stayed quiet for a long time, once Martin had updated him up to that point, so much so that Martin took a second to take the phone away from his ear and glance at the screen, just to make sure the call hadn’t dropped during his stammered monologue.
“...Martin.”
“Look, I know!” Martin snapped, a little plaintive, before Jon could prime himself up for a scolding. He was very, very good at those. “I know. You told me it was a bad idea to go back there at night, alone, but-- This is just what we do here, ok? It’s our job, for how unconventional it might be--”
“Breaking and entering is your job?” Jon asked, and the bare hint of amusement in his voice felt like a pleasant summer breeze. “I could’ve sworn you said something about archiving.”
“Jon,” Martin muttered, his annoyance more for show than anything else. It still landed as intended, making Jon chuckle warmly in his ear.

Summary
He was horrified, that much is true. But something happened in that split second when he fell, a tug at the center of his core keeping him tied to the ground. Jon looked up at the boy in that moment before his eyes caught the text and he did… nothing. There was the urge to lunge at the boy’s legs and topple him, wrest the book from his hands and tear out the pages to be ripped into unintelligible shreds. And yet, there was that pull, that inexplicable draw to see the sick, poisonous thread sprawl where Jon knew it was headed, as sure as someone that young can be about anything. He couldn’t stop Mr. Spider from taking his next guest. He could only shift the gift it was offered.
In which the Web stakes its claim on a young Jonathan Sims. And the thing about cobwebs is that, well, they tend to stick.

Summary
“Oh, sorry,” the woman says. “Where are my manners? You can call me Annabelle. You’re Jon, of course.”
“How did you--” he starts.
“Know your name? Is that really what disturbs you the most here?”
No. No, it isn’t.
“What-- what do you want?” he demands, and he can’t keep his voice steady in the slightest. He tries to sit up, to stand, to leave. Get out of here.
His muscles don’t even tense up.
Annabelle tilts her head at him, her mouth pulling up at the corners in amusement. Her eyes glitter, and he can’t help but feel that she’s silently laughing at his fruitless struggling.
“I wanted to meet the newest addition to my family, of course,” she says. “We’re siblings now. Or cousins? Which do you think sounds better?”

Summary
He falls in a multichrome void, eyes closed and Eye wide open, a sharp stab of color through a cornea surreal in being and in mind. There is pain that shines bitter white through his heart and as he feels the shifting colors bleed through him (dyed water through flower petals, a slice of a star shining in agony) he feels something shift, something tangible in this place where not even he is real. All at once, Jon dissolves and solidifies, and his eyes—real, physical, seeing eyes—open.
Jon wakes up and finds that nothing is as it should be. His coworkers--friends, here, apparently--are concerned over his strange scars and behavior. Not only that, but teaching a college-level class, dealing with new fears and avatars, and coping with the fact that his Martin isn't here... it's all a bit overwhelming. It's good he isn't on his own, even if the people he used to know are so different here.
