Summary
The picture is leaked on a random fucking Tuesday in November, months after Ilya was last in Montreal.
Grainy and dark, enhanced digitally to shit but still just recognisable enough; Shane Hollander smiling dopily as a broad-shouldered man in a dark hoodie has him pushed up against a red brick wall, one knee lifted to hook around the back of a thigh, a large hand possessively holding it in place as the hooded figure has his face hidden in the crook of Hollander’s neck — presumably kissing him there, intimately.
Ilya knows his team is good, and they do the best they can.

Summary
“The Centaur's plane is currently on fire,"
Hayden would like to think he’d seen all the sides of Shane Hollander. He’d seen him as the ‘Hockey-Robot’, seen him as brother Shane, his children’s Uncle Shane. Hayden had also been granted the privilege of seeing him in-love.
Unfortunately, looking at Shane right now- devastated, and terrified, with something dangerous and unhinged glinting in his eyes, Hayden was unsure how to proceed.
"That's not fucking funny Boiziau," his friend’s voice was cold and utterly unfamiliar in his ears, he can see Shane’s shoulders, tense and coiled, like a snake ready to pounce on its prey.
-
A fic in which Shane sees Ilya’s messages mid-game and decides that nothing else mattered but Ilya Rozanov. (From an outsider's point of view, Shane was going feral, but Shane was actually just trying really hard not to fall apart until he finds Ilya.)

Summary
“I did not have a crush on Hollander,” Troy argues.
“So wanting his number is not having a crush?” Dykstra asks.
“Jesus Christ,” Troy murmurs under his breath.
Harris feels like he should take pity on his boyfriend. “Hey, hey, it’s okay. I had a crush on Hollander too.”
It’s close enough to the truth. Harris is not going to confess that in the depths of his crush, he wrote fanfiction about Shane. And he certainly is not going to elaborate on all the plot points from the rare heart condition requiring expensive care in the United States to being sold by his family to Shane Hollander to cover the debt.

Summary
“Barrett, your turn. What did you think of Hollander?”
Troy must have had more to drink than he thought. Or he makes bad decisions without Harris right next to him. Or he must have a death wish. That has to be the reason why he says what he does: “I thought he was a fucking babe.”

Summary
“Hollander has a fire lit up under them,” Wiebe agrees, but it isn’t quite enough just yet. They weren’t pushing just to score, they were pushing to widen the gap as much as they could.
“He’s fast,” Rozanov taps his temple. “And has very sharp eye for openings. Very smart with his movements,”
“I’d be weeping if I had someone like that drafted from my team,”
“All I am hearing is that you would make sure Hollander retires in this team,”
Wiebe smirks, “Maybe after a Stanley Cup or two,”
Shane finally goes toe to toe with Montreal under Ottawa's flag. The rookies are scared shitless, and his old team looks worse for wear. It breaks his heart, but there can only be one who holds the Stanley Cup. It wasn't going to be the Metros.
