Summary
The existence of the surnatural was a wildly contested concept. Ghosts, spirits, poltergeist and yokai, most are considered nothing more than a fairytale, a story told to scare your friends, to make sure children behave.
Izuku wished it was nothing more than that.

He hasn’t always been able to see them.
Izuku has spent the majority of life with no power to his name, part of a minority in a world led by super-powers.
This all changed once he met All Might and got offered his quirk. He knew that offer was too good to be true, and he got the validation in the worst way possible.
“Now that’s a bit harsh, don’t you think? We’re not that bad a company, especially compared to all your other numerous friends.” One of them commented sarcastically. Izuku pretended to ignore it.
“It’s not like you have been able to see us for long anyway, how could you know we’re that bad?”
Of course, of all the quirk he could have developed in this world, it had to be the one making him wish he could have stayed quirkless.
Or: Following the entrance exam, Izuku is able to sees ghosts. He only wishes they would stop acting like squabbling children. -
