Perhaps, Edd reasoned, it was the almost reverent tone with which some kids said it: Kevin’s pack. It wasn't thrown around as a playful moniker but rather, loaded with a certain measure of respect. (Then there was the way Kevin said it, when he thought no one save his fellow comrades were within hearing vicinity. His pack.)
April/May 2025: Updates have been made to several chapters thus far (and a drafted chapter was accidentally leaked by yours truly, oops 🤭) as I work through a particularly debilitating case of writer's block and real life being a pain in the butt. :,) I've done my best to indicate if changes have been made in the beginning notes of each chapter, so please be aware if you're (re)reading TMV.
