Perhaps, Edd reasoned, it was the almost reverent tone with which some kids said it: Kevin’s pack. It wasn't thrown around as a playful moniker but rather, loaded with a certain measure of respect. (Then there was the way Kevin said it, when he thought no one save his fellow comrades were within hearing vicinity. His pack.)
April/May 2025: Updates have been made to several chapters thus far (and a drafted chapter was accidentally leaked by yours truly, oops 🤭) as I work through a particularly debilitating case of writer's block and real life being a pain in the butt. :,) I've done my best to indicate if changes have been made in the beginning notes of each chapter, so please be aware if you're (re)reading TMV. “If I bite you, I make you mine.”Pursuing Peaches when she's only interested in Mario has repeatedly gotten him nowhere. It's long past time he should've been considering other options. Bowser's known that for a while now. And by some luck of the stars, Luigi ends up in his clutches. A relationship with Greenie will get him the pretty much the same thing he'd sought most from Peaches all along: new trading partners, and a bridge to peace with the other kingdoms. Bowser knows an opportunity when he sees one...and he sinks in his teeth.

Feeling that he’s been left behind in life, Peter agrees to a marriage pact with Wade, mainly just to get his dinner back that Wade’s been holding hostage. The deal sets the two men off on a year-long journey of navigating their feelings for each other and what a ‘significant other’ really means. Eventually, they both realize that they don’t want just a silly little marriage pact, but something more real and meaningful with each other. Too bad they’re not the best with admitting their feelings.
