Summary
A series of excerpts, in no particular order, from the journal of Marcy Jin Wu. A normal middle schooler with two cool friends, who finds herself suddenly transported to a world full of Newts (and also Frogs and Toads). Chronicles her ups and downs, even before she arrives in Amphibia. Of course, she also has plenty to say about her new home once she arrives.
Canon Compliant through the ending of Season 2A. Will fill in some gaps with headcanons, but probably won’t be trying to answer big plot questions.

"Is everything okay?”
“Oh thank God,” Marcy breathes. Somewhere in the vicinity of the call she can hear what sounds like a struggle. Someone yells and another person screams in pain. “We, uh, we need you to come in. Like, as fast as you can.”
Anne blinks.
“Marcy, you know that I don’t do that,” she starts, “We’ve been over this. Your work stays at work and I’m not getting involved with it just because your boss thinks-”
Marcy growls in frustration and something behind her in the call shrieks. The sound is eerily familiar and the goosebumps running up Anne’s spine can’t seem to decide why.
“What the fuck is that?!”
“That!” Marcy growls, “Is why I need you here. Goddamnit, Anne, they found her!”
Anne is still lost.
“Found who?!”
“Sasha!”
____Of fantasy worlds you could fall into from your own, some are nicer than others. Even still, most of them aren't The Backrooms.

It’s a good thing nobody else is around, still cleaning up from the volcakeno. Sasha still feels like she’s free-falling, the swooping in her stomach making her beyond nauseous. “Yeah,” she admits, softly, a word that feels too small for the weight that it carries. “I mean, wouldn’t you?”
“Probably,” Marcy confesses, and the concern in her face morphs into the saddest of smiles that Sasha’s ever seen. “I just worry about you, that’s all. I can’t have my first girlfriend dying on me, can I?”

What happens after the calamity trio leaves Amphibia? All three girls have a lot to think about and a lot of trauma to get through. As they disconnect they get through their trauma in separate ways. When they finally reconnect ten years later everything changes. Moving, Confessions, and a Text Message jump start another journey. They never truly left each others sides and when they weren't completely side by side discoveries were easier to be made. The question is, what is happening to Anne? Will Marcy ever truly get better? How strong is Sasha? and most importantly... is their a way back to Amphibia?
