Rationally, Kaveh shouldn’t ask Alhaitham if he wants Kaveh to help him. He really shouldn’t. Sex could ruin this peace treaty they have non-verbally contracted between them. Sex could mean things will get horribly, terribly awkward. Sex would mean that Kaveh would never be able to look at Alhaitham without thinking of the memory of Alhaitham’s hands all over his body.
“Have you really thought this through?” Alhaitham asks once again, and he hasn’t sounded this serious since his offer to house Kaveh so many moons ago.
“This is my fault, as you said. I should take responsibility.” Kaveh weakly replies, licking his lips nervously. “Right?”

Further and deeper his imagination ran. With every question, with every unspoken inquiry, it took over more and more of his body. The heat that had simmered low now burned boiling hot.
The recorded Kaveh continued to whisper in his ears while his limbs worked on their own to seek further pleasure. In a slow rhythm he rocked his body back and forth, inching his way closer to a climax that never arrived. For there was a limit between theory and practice. For all the scenarios and sensations that his mind could conjure his own touch failed to bring forth into reality.
His conclusion was simple: further research was required and Alhaitham was nothing if not studious.

Summary
Dazai, in a moment of curiosity (and perhaps questionable judgment), stumbles upon a website selling sex toys that can be linked to a person in real time. Naturally, he buys one for himself, purely for research purposes, of course.
Unfortunately, he's out of the country when the package arrives. Even more unfortunately, Chuuya is the one who receives it. Hoping for some prime blackmail material, Chuuya tears open the box… only to find the toy inside.
One thing leads to another, and Chuuya - blissfully unaware that the device is synced to Dazai - decides to put it to good use. Meanwhile, miles away, Dazai is abruptly, helplessly, and very publicly experiencing the consequences of his impulse purchase.

Victoire wakes to the sound of a starling murmuration passing over Oxford, a vision of sugar pearls painted on waves of dark chocolate wings. It’s red and dark out, though the horizon—or what little of it isn’t obscured by the skyline—glows like brightest noon.
Victoire pushes back her sheets and immediately notices that she’s somehow even more tired than before. It’s oppressive now, a shard of hurt in her chest, dulled by the disorientation, intensified by memories. She can’t do this. She cries. She drops out of her bed and plods over to the window; they’re two stories up, hardly high enough to break an arm. And yet her head is so heavy, her legs lame, and she wants to sink into the floor and then some, keep sinking until there’s no light to remember she’d ever been born at all.
Victoire tries to save her cohort. Time travel + slice of life.

The roof, fallen in. The walls, clattering downward in a wave as each lost stone knocked loose another. Books, shelves, desks, indeterminate objects blurring in midair, falling like missiles. Her home, her Babel, her tower, falling.
