Summary
Chase noticed how Kaz would pretty much cycle through the same two weeks of outfits, three of which shared the same sweatshirt.
Along with every outfit, he’d wear the same necklace. Every day. Chase lived with Kaz for almost 4 months, and he’d not once seen Kaz take off the necklace.
It wasn’t a particularly interesting or attractive necklace; in fact it clashed with most of the outfits he picked.
It was just a red and blue bead on a black leather chord. In between the two childish looking beads was a small sun charm that looked like it came from a child’s jewellery kit.
Chase assumed it was sentimental due to its childish appearance and unwavering residence between Kaz’s collarbones.

It was supposed to be a routine check on a faulty sensor in one of Mr. Davenport's facilities. Chase brought Kaz along.
They were supposed to be the only ones in the facility, when they got there. The check was supposed to be over in minutes. It didn't pan out that way.
