Summary
In a world obsessed with killing and dying, Seiko is mostly concerned with chasing off her boredom. The Academy wasn’t exactly intellectually stimulating, but dying in the second shinobi war sounded like a long walk off a short pier. Everyone is always so stressed about avoiding attention, or min-maxing skills in situations like this.
Seiko is of the opinion that those people need to chill the hell out. Maybe play a little shogi. Death comes for them all anyways. Better to enjoy this all while it lasts.

Summary
Sakura Haruno is ten when she first sees Konoha. And her feet are planted firmly for the first time, spreading roots among the trees and people that feel like home
Yet still...
A hunger gnaws deep within her chest, pushing and pulling at the pit in the bottom of her stomach, searching for something she can't quite name. It rumbles and burns in her belly, leaving a sickening sweet taste on the inside of her cheeks.
Sakura is ten when she comes home for the first time —her father wrapped in a blanket and a hollowness in her chest— and the trees rejoice with her happiness. And burn with her anger. And wail with her despair. And beg her to reach out and satiate her hunger.

Summary
It appears that death was not on Sakura’s agenda after she finds herself alive despite what she had believed would be certain death.
Disillusioned with the world, her mind at war with itself, Sakura is back to square one.
Left grasping for reasons to live, she finds one: she will make sure Tobi dies, even if it is the last thing she does. And if the rest of the Akatsuki fall with him, all the better.
But the world doesn’t stop and wait for her. Day by day, whispers of war permeate every corner of society, threatening to drag her into the thick of it. And when a ghost from her past returns with the temptation of a family she never had, and when those who once abandoned her come seeking her aid, she is forced to decide.
What will she do when it becomes clear she must sacrifice her morals for a chance at happiness?
Should she close her heart completely and devote herself solely to revenge, or choose a side in a war where people she has grown to love stand on both fronts?
