Summary
Hobbits have been training and riding dragons since they arrived at the Shire. Their ways have attracted unwanted attention from the Orcs, and in the wake of the biggest battle the Shire has ever seen, the Hobbits find themselves searching for protection and alliances. The Dwarves of Erebor are losing trade and influence. King Thror's greediness is slowly driving the kingdom into the ground. They, too, need a new alliance, one that won't focus on how much gold or trade they receive. To both sides, this is the perfect compromise.
So when a saboteur appears, trying to disrupt the treaty meetings, the two groups must fight their instincts to work together and secure the agreement that both so desperately need, while finding the saboteur and avoiding telling any of this to King Thror.

Thorin Oakenshield is a Witcher of the Raven School. A Dwarf exiled from his homeland, or rather what was left of it. When a contract reaches him about a beast terrorising The Shire, Thorin takes it along with fellow Witcher and friend Dwalin - but what he finds there was not something his training could have ever readied him for.
A sorcerer of Yavanna, by the name of Bilbo Baggins.

[Extremely Non-Canonical outtake fic for my epic length slow burn Bagginshield fic, God's Gonna Cut You Down, because I like having fun. Takes place after Dwalin has the fight with Thorin, and Bilbo finds him sulking in the attic. They still have their nice conversation, but then Dwalin slightly misinterprets a signal and things get heated. Bilbo, lonely, emotional, and embarrassingly horny, accepts whatever comfort he can get, especially if it's from a good-looking friend whom he trusts with his life. Pretty self contained pwp, so you could probably read it on its own.]

Summary
Bilbo Baggins, a forty year old hacker-slash-bookshop proprietor, found some measure of relief when he found his way back to his parents' estate in the countryside in the wake of a sudden sweeping viral apocalypse. However, in Bag End he finds only ghosts, and he soon realizes that relief is a far cry from fulfillment or closure. Enter a surprise visit from his mother's attorney and his ragtag group of foreigners led by an honest-to-God king (who may or may not be exactly Bilbo's type). According to Gandalf, they may somehow have the solution to Europe's current pesky zombie problem. For his and the world's sake, Bilbo can only hope.
[A fairly epic length modern AU retelling of the Hobbit as the worst road trip in history, featuring motorcycles, slow-burn romance, and zombies. Yeah, I know.]

Thorin is an Arnor police officer who is trying to take down the most corrupt man in the city- good ole Smaugikins (not that anyone calls him that to his face, mind, but the graffiti is getting pretty suggestive) when he is strongarmed (by a supposedly sick Dís) into attending his nephews' elementary school play. Though the play should surely be classified as torture, Thorin meets a delightful woman, Ms. Bella Baggins, the school librarian, and asks her out to dinner.
In step a meddlesome (as always) Gandalf, precocious children, Smaug, and an existentialist fake mountain. Things go downhill from there.Or: Thorin and Bella are adorable, the kids find their inner thespians, Bella loses a cardigan, and thieving abounds.

Summary
After they are driven out of their home, Fíli, his brother, and their uncle find refuge in the unlikely home of two hobbits. Gandalf said they’d be safe there, but only Thorin can keep them safe.
Thorin has already lost everything. All he has left are his nephews and even now he worries that they will be lost to him as well. He doesn’t trust the hobbits, especially the female one. She seems far too interested in his nephews for his liking.
Kíli misses his mom. He knows he should be more cautious, but he likes the hobbits. He especially likes the lady one. She reminds him of his mom.
Briar never fit in the Shire. She was always too different. But maybe, her place was always meant to be in the mountains instead of hills.
Bilbo always knew his job was to protect his little sister. She was the only family he had left, after all. But family isn’t always defined by blood. Sometimes family is by choice.

When the dragon fell from the sky, destroying Bilbo's crops, he didn't get angry. He carefully maneuvered its talons before taking care of its wounds and wings. From the soft scales and bright blue eyes, it was young, not even able to breathe magic. So Bilbo led it to his barn where it could heal before it left. Too bad its father decided to show up.
