Summary
Hobbits have been training and riding dragons since they arrived at the Shire. Their ways have attracted unwanted attention from the Orcs, and in the wake of the biggest battle the Shire has ever seen, the Hobbits find themselves searching for protection and alliances. The Dwarves of Erebor are losing trade and influence. King Thror's greediness is slowly driving the kingdom into the ground. They, too, need a new alliance, one that won't focus on how much gold or trade they receive. To both sides, this is the perfect compromise.
So when a saboteur appears, trying to disrupt the treaty meetings, the two groups must fight their instincts to work together and secure the agreement that both so desperately need, while finding the saboteur and avoiding telling any of this to King Thror.
