Summary
TLDR: Arthur Morgan fathers a daughter unknowingly in 1885. Her mother passes, she gets stuck on her own, and ends up meeting him while she's on her way to Saint Denis for the church of wayward children.
She's a whole lot more like him than she ever thought herself to be.{They meet in chapter 4}

He wasn't going to make it home.
It was a bitter truth that sat shallow on his mind. In a way, it should bother him more than perhaps it does, but long gone was any sense of actual emotion, far too drowned out by the trauma that's burrowed in deep. And he was tired; so very tired that he could barely wrest his eyes open and his chin came on down to rest against his chest, rising ever so softly with breaths that were far too weak and shallow.

“Look out!”
Hosea's warning came a fraction of a second to late. Pain lanced up his arm, teeth digging deep into his flesh as the beast latched onto him, dragging him down. He was falling—sliding rather, rolling; tumbling down, the world about him a mess of snow and fur and blood and pain. And then a shout—something, he couldn't quite make out the words, but his arm was covered in red and he was gasping for breath, sprawled out on his stomach.
His head hurt.
