Summary
This is a complete redo of both the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings series. Here, Bilbo was banished from Erebor but learned of the true power of the Ring. His decision to carry it to Mordor changes, well, everything.
This is the story of how he does it, what becomes of the original company, how those who were meant to be kings will rise to their thrones, and how love, ultimately, conquers darkness and evil.
And then there are the stories of what comes after the great battles have been fought.

The four men looked at Treville, d’Artagnan with a big-eyed look of entreaty and the other three with something that bordered on being a challenge. Treville had been an NSA agent for years and, before that, a Navy SEAL. He’d been in combat and all other sorts of tight situations, so he knew when it was appropriate to take risks and, more importantly, when it was ill-advised.
“Disney World, it is.” Treville answered, smiling although he was cringing inside.

Summary
My Jack/Nine series. This series starts a few hours after "The Doctor Dances" and shows the development of the relationship between Jack and the Doctor. Centers on the two of them, Rose, and the TARDIS, but includes appearances by other characters, e.g. Jackie Tyler and the Tenth Doctor.
While all of these stories are part of the same continuity, it is not necessary to read them in order - as long as you're willing to take it as a given that Nine and Jack are together in this 'verse, each story can pretty much stand on its own. There may occasionally be allusions to events from earlier stories, but never to the point of hampering understanding if you haven't read them.
