Summary
Anwyn Bright is not living his best life. His only real friendship has been on the rocks, the not so subtle concern that he and his mom could get evicted is constantly looming, and worse yet – his mom is sick with the same disease that killed his grandfather two years ago.
It’s times like these he wished he had a dad. While disappointing, he’d come to the same conclusion most people did; teen moms were often unlucky in the fact a lot of dads just don’t stick around. It isn’t until his mom is under threat of a long term stay in the hospital that he learns the truth.
His dad doesn’t even know he exists.
After his mom desperately reaches out, it’s a question of whether they can get along, and maybe even become a real family.
The muggy summer finds Anwyn in the tiny town of Sunnybrook, trying to make friends, form a relationship with his father, and hoping his mom can fight off her illness. -

This is a work I'm making with some lovely friends! Only one has an account, but I'd link the others if they did! They've all been such a help! Most of the main characters were created collaboratively, and each of the main characters are our OCs. This work wouldn't be as strong without them and I want to give them the world.

Summary

She pauses, and for the first time in the entire conversation, Zoro thinks he sees a flicker of displeasure in her eyes. It vanishes before he can convince himself whether or not it’s real, though, after which her expression smoothes out into a mask of cool indifference.
