Summary
The thing is— Ghoul knows what Party’s like, when they’re annoyed or upset about something. They’ll kick up a fuss and stomp around a little, but they aren’t ever actually *really* upset. Not even when Jet ruined their hair, or when Kobra accidentally broke their favorite set of headphones, or when Ghoul broke one of the brand-new expensive colored pencils the Doc got them for Christmas. They’ll bitch and moan and whine to anyone who’ll listen, but they’ll forget about it and move on in a day or two, and all’s forgiven.
He won’t say that they’re all bark and no bite, really, but they sure as hell do a lot of barking in the meantime.
“Some, some—“
Party gestures wildly with their hands as they talk, nearly knocking Kobra Kid’s milkshake off the table in the process.
“—some centre-city brat!”
Kobra shoots them a glare, pulling his shake back protectively to his chest and out of the danger zone.

The kid huffs, like he's the one being unreasonable here, and not the baby assassin who keeps breaking into his apartment. In his lap, Bella continues to purr. The kid strokes a hand down her back, like a goddamn supervillain. A supervillain who’s feet don't even touch the floor.
“You saved my life.” He says, in that haughty little voice of his. “I owe you a debt. Allow me to repay it, and I will be on my way.”
Wade blinks. “And you’re gonna do that… how, exactly?”
“Tt.” He gets the impression the kid's rolling his eyes behind the domino mask. “By saving your life in return, of course. How else? It shouldn’t be difficult, considering your complete and utter disregard for your own health and safety—“
“I’m literally immortal—“
“—also, where do you keep your cat food? Her bowl is empty, and that is unacceptable.”
Wade drops his head on to the coffee table with a resounding thunk, "What even is my life--"

Summary
Dr. Death-Defying bites the bullet, breaking the silence between them with a sigh.
“What’s her name?”
Cherri looks at him, then, really looks at him. He looks decades older than he is like this, unshaven and exhausted, those sad eyes a hundred different shades of haunted.
Then, he deflates, all of the fight draining out of him with one big sigh as he slumps forwards, elbow’s braced on his knees. He sucks in a breath, scrubbing a hand down his face and through greasy hair.
“She said her name was Girl.”

Summary
Hesitantly, he presses a trembling hand to the glass.
The entire universe is spread out underneath his finger tips, hundreds upon hundreds of stars swirling in constellations he doesn't know, a melting pot of dazzling colors, vivid pinks and deep blues, swatches of yellow and green.
If he squints, he can make out planets. Tiny little dots, hardly bigger than the nail on his pinky finger. That little grey one must be Lestea, the trade moon they just left, but the others? he has no idea.
One of them must be earth. How ironic is that he's the first human to ever leave the Milky Way Galaxy, and all he wants to do is go back home?
(In other words; After rescuing Tommy, sbi and co. embark on a roadtrip through the Esempi Galaxy to return him to his home planet, Earth. They make a few pit stops, piss off some shopkeepers, make some strange friends, and learn how to be family along the way)

Summary
The dragon moves.
He is already half-curled around the human pup, but he throws caution into the wind and closes the distance completely, pressing around him the best he can while still being careful. Dragons run hot. The shivering, atleast, is a problem he can easily solve. The human stiffens when scales brush against skin and fabric, flinching back slightly in alarm as a rough tongue brushes against the side of his face. Saliva is more effective than just breath, and, sure enough, the cut on his face closes, and the blue tinge leaves his lips. There, much better.
Up close, he can hear as the boy’s breathing begins to deepen, the slight wheeze slowly lessening. His heartbeat is steady, and his eyes are more clear when they meet his again, wide and confused. He’s still so pale. The dragon noses him again, making a low crooning noise in the back of his throat, safe-calm-I’m-here, when the boy flinches away, an answering call to his sounds of distress. A young dragon would find it soothing.
The little human does not find it soothing.
"Get off!"

Summary
“I prayed many weeks to our god for guidance.” The priest begins, addressing the crowd. “To a solution for this curse. If something is not done, we will all surely fall victim to Her wrath before the winter's end.”
The crowd murmurs, whispering and shifting anxiously.
He raises a hand, soothing them. “I believe that my prayers have been answered. This was nothing but a test of our faith, proving that not everyone has the strength to walk the path of righteousness alongside us.”
Only then does he turn to the boy at his feet. The eyes of the crowd follow.
“Lady Death appears to favor this boy.” Says the priest. “What better sacrifice to appease her than one she has chosen herself?”

(Tommy’s deeply-religious village attempts to use him as a sacrifice to save them from the wrath of the gods. "Gods" Wilbur, Techno, Phil, and Kristin are searching for something they lost.
None of them quite get what they want in the end, but they still end up changing the course of history through the power of Found Family, anyhow)

Summary
And then, all at once, the peace around him shatters.
A sound splits the air, a screeching, pitiful wail that freezes him in his tracks.
The birds scatter to the skies with cries of alarm, gossip forgotten. The animals burrow down back into their holes, the snakes dart away. Somewhere far off in the woods something, someone, screams.
It chokes off into sobs and cries, every sound echoing and spreading over the forest like spilled blood, and Phil bleeds with it.
He… He knows that sound. It wraps it's icy fingers around something in his chest and yanks.
He’s moving, chasing it, tracking the sobs and pathetic mewls of a kit and the scent of magic-tinged blood before he even realizes what he’s doing.

Summary
Kings are supposed to be big and strong, he reminds himself. They’re supposed to know all of the answers and keep their people safe. Tommy doesn’t feel big or strong looking up at that looming castle, shivering in his best golden tunic against the wind. He doesn’t feel big or strong at all, but that’s okay.
He is a king, whether he likes it or not. Which means he has to be strong, and he has to know all of the right things to do, even if he’s scared. That’s what Dream is for after all, to advise him. To tell him what to do to be the best king he can, and to make his people proud.
He knows his mission, and the crown on his head dips only a little when he nods. “I know.”
Dream smiles, a rare thing nowadays, and Tommy preens under his gaze. “I trust that you won’t fail us, my King.”Never.

Summary
The email app on his computer taunts him. It’s been taunting him all day. He has until the day after tomorrow to submit the application, meaning he’d waited until the last possible moment to see if he had gotten the recommendation letters at all, in typical Tommy fashion. Still, he had some time to try and change their minds, if they didn’t send him the letters he needed.
Which they obviously did. They’d be there. He’d have them. He'd get in.
He’d march up to that big, fancy school right next to Tubbo. He’d wear one of those fancy uniforms and stick his tongue out at all the uppity rich kids behind their backs. He’d wow all the professors with just how fucking awesome he is, and he’d get a full-ride scholarship come next fall, because he’s just that cool.
But first he just needed to check his email. He takes a deep breath, and hovers his mouse over the icon. He takes another deep breath, and clicks.
You have three new emails!
(Alternatively, Tommy needs teacher recommendations to get into a summer collage program. He's never been a star student, but he works hard! They can see that... Right?)

"Then, with his upper left hand, he reaches up and knocks shakily on the glass.
The response is instantaneous.
A snarl splits the air, making both men jump. His gaze jumps to cot, and in the small space underneath, there’s a flash of movement, and then eyes.
Something climbs out from underneath the cot. It’s bipedal, but it doesn’t look like anything either of them have ever seen before. No feathers, scales, tail, extra limbs or eyes. No bumpy, rock-like skin, and it doesn’t drip with slime. When it opens its mouth to snarl and shout at them again, it’s teeth are tiny and blunt, no venomous fangs or tusks.
Félix is more than a little afraid, judging by the way he jumps when the thing goes from shouting to angry pacing, but the man?
He goes stock-still, eyes wide and horrified.
He knows exactly what this is.
It’s a human."
In other words;

Summary
He hears birdsong.
That's the first thing he notices, when he's able to breathe past the pain in his ribs. When he opens his eyes to green leaves and a blue summer sky, he thinks he's dreaming. The sky is never blue in the Dream SMP, not after all the explosions. It's always tinged with grey, the scent of ash and wood smoke subtle in the air. When was the last time he was somewhere with clean air? Exile?
He sits up. The pain is blinding, but he grits his teeth against it, hands tight around the wound in his side. He looks around, really looks around, and it takes everything he has to keep from screaming. Nothing but woods on every side, trees swaying gently in a warm breeze, birds flittering from branch to branch. Fuck.
He falls back with a thump, and immediately regrets it, hissing in pain. Well, one thing's for sure. He's not in fucking Kansas anymore.
(Alternatively, Tommy gets gravely injured, and to save his life, Dream drop kicks him to a different server. Unfortunately for him, it has the opposite effect than what he was expecting.)
