In short: Tanya defeats Being X but what then? Another cosmic entity sees how Being X violated the rules with mortal free will and offers to re-balance the scales. Despite her best efforts to gain patronage and comfort outside of the military, she finds herself ending up in the Imperial Legions as a Ritual Plate Pilot. At least now being pretty, female, and bloodthirsty is less... unusual this time around.

Since her graduation from Nevermore Academy, Wednesday Addams had been living life, much to her chagrin. The older she got, the less tragic it'd be when she died, unless she concocted some elaborate scheme to make it happen.
With her time divided between doing investigative work for the local police station's supernatural sector, tending to the chronic pain slowly consuming her life and motor functions all the while running a business, and internet stalking Enid Sinclair, time for planning such schemes was limited. She'd manage, though.

At least until Snapper reassigned her to cover the science and technology beat at The Tribune.
