Summary
After being bitten in Afghanistan, John was invalided home. Being a werewolf was new to him, and he wasn't interested in any of the help or orientation that the Centre had to offer, but even his wolf knew better than to enter territory that had been marked. Until his first outside change, when he met a strange alpha wolf that wanted John to follow it home into pack territory. John's initial refusal became a challenge for the curious alpha... one Sherlock Holmes.

So, semi-crack AU idea. What if Angband knew Fingon was coming, and instead of letting him recover Maedhros, hung up a spy for him to take back into the Noldor camps? Have him unknowingly sneak some not-maedhros person back in. Someone who can there bring the Noldor to ruin for Melkor. Someone like Sauron himself, a known shapeshifter and prolific faker.
Most of it's been planned out already via convos with my friends, but I won't be updating until I finish "Maedhros in Doriath"

Note2: This was a crack idea my friends used to like, but they no longer like it so I've dropped it. Will add more chapters when there is a demand for it, maybe.
