Before Moonshadow, God of the Eclipse, there was Vesper; A half-drow "child" of Bhaal destined to end divinity with the Chosen of Bane at his side.
That was, until his beloved half-sister (thankfully) divested him of his Chosen mantle (rather violently) and set in motion the events that would ultimately lead Vesper to Gale Dekarios, a charming wizard who claimed his heart (almost instantly).
In this collection of one-shots, follow Ves as he, Gale and their companions set out to find a cure for their parasites as well as uncovering the hidden depths of the Cult of the Absolute that holds the key to Ves' shadowed past.
WARNING: This is a Resist!Durge fic, but even so there will be lots of violence, blood, gore and bouts of madness.

They tell stories of a young drow who cannot speak, the last of her tribe. The yellow spider. "She's as silent as the wind, as invisible as a shadow. If you ever manage to catch a glimpse of her amber eyes, the last thing you'll see is a bolt of red light, and your soul will part with this world in half a heartbeat."
Most stories for children, of course, are fictitious. But, what most drow mothers don't know is that Sbat'stra Arkentyl is very much alive, and they're also very much tired of said stories. After all, they've got an Illithid parasite to deal with, and six silly idiots to babysit. -

Summary
This is a self-indulgent slow burn based on the videogame. Rich with banter, drama and action, inspired by the unique experience I had with a mix of EA content and romance glitches. While it does follow the main plot, I've added a lot of new twists, cinematography and interpretations that I hope will keep things from feeling stale/repetitive. Even if you haven't played the game, I'd appreciate any feedback. Please keep in mind: my intention isn't to recreate the game from the ground up, so sometimes I'm writing with the expectation that the reader either knows, or has seen these characters/settings somewhere on the internet.
