Summary
I’d thought about refusing, then figured this mission was the closest I’d have to a vacation with Abraham and packed my wetsuits. It’s a very nice house, to be fair, and we did have a very good three days. I managed to forget we were here to work, instead raiding the wine cellar and acting a bit like fools.
And then Johann did actually work whilst we got drunk and slept and did a thousand things he can’t very well partake in from his suit. And we found ourselves facing down a sort of burrowing aberration when we followed the ruckus coming from the neighbouring forest.

I scroll Stack Overflow boredly, taking note of the back and forth from the chopper where Abraham questions Johann’s ability to cope probably more than would be diplomatic, and they discuss this Temple of New Mysteries or whatever, and man am I glad I’m not there. I’m really glad I’m not there when the whir of the chopper stops so abruptly I’m checking my headset, and then there’s the commotion that precedes a hard landing. I’m yelling at Sapien who’s yelling at Roger, entirely ignoring me, before the transmission cuts off entirely.

Summary
Elowen is a witch who by the request of some fairy friends saved the life of prince nuada. Now very much to his disdain he is in her debt. A debt that must be paid according to fay law. At first both their pride and prejudices seem to get in the way of their potential relationship, but they soon find that they have more in common then they think. Meanwhile during this time there have been disappearances of witches in Brookley all found with their hearts missing. The old BPRD gang get back together to investigate these strange disappearances and bring to justice which ever monster is responsible. Both Nuada and Elowen must learn to let go of their past in order to face the future together.

Grief. What an alien word. So often associated with loss, and loss I know, but whatever this is I don’t. I’m more prone to anger and avoidance, but there’s nothing left in me at this, at Sapien’s… Abraham’s motionless body suspended in a test tube of sorts. It's like those directories have been overwritten, leaving me to crash. And crash I do. Anger would be easy, at Devon and Manning and Corrigan and the whole bureau, since I’ve never cared about precision in my wrath. At Hellboy for leaving and Sherman for disappearing, even at the homunculus for dying off.

One part of their relationship seems to have a few hiccups though. Pinching metal plates and sensitive amphibian skin don't exactly go well together especially when one or the other is distracted by something alluring.

Summary
Rasputin has returned determined to complete his plan to release the Ogdru Jahad and bring about his 'new order'. Having learned that the Golden Army has been found, he thinks using it would be the perfect addition to his plan and resurrects Nuada (and of course Nuala), trying to either get the prince to join him or wrest control of the army from him. Nuada realizes pretty quickly that Rasputins intentions are not what they seem and refuses. After a fight, he and Nuala escape into the countryside where they end up in the country house where Hellboy, Liz, Abe and Johann have settled down to their post BPRD life. Hellboy is away earning some money fighting vampires for the Romanian government leaving Liz & the others on their own for the time being, before coming home to deal with the new crisis
The story follows what happens when the elves arrive, integrate into the household, work to defeat Rasputin and his minions and save the world (again).We begin with what happens to the prince in the land of the dead.......
