Summary
Zim loves his mission, don't get him wrong, but once the Tallests finally show signs of abandonment and hatred toward Zim, he suddenly learns how naive he's behaved. All the calls, the snickering and the playing-pretend, it starts to get through Zim's head. He slowly stops showing up to Skool. He stops caring about his mission. He doesn't take care of himself, or his base, or worry about the rest of the humans still inhabiting the planet. He just.. sits in his lab all day, tinkering around with whatever organisms he can find with the help of GIR.
But one drop of cyanide created something so powerful, something so infectious, that Zim must keep it sealed away before he is harmed. But during a mental outburst, kicking beakers and items around, he accidentally breaks the jar, and the infection is born. -

Invader Zim AU: Dib Membrane came to Foodcourtia in search of adventure and delicious snacks. He found adventure in the form of a tiny frycook named Zim (and he found snacks in the form of Vort Dogs). Together, they break Zim out of Foodcourtia and strike a deal to get themselves back from the outskirts of Irken-known space. The only problem: Zim's hiding something, and Dib's too lovestruck to care.

Summary
White-hot grease burns are a hell of a thing, and Zim had to put his mission on hold to take care of himself, bandaging himself up in his medbay and dragging himself to bed, passing out in a painkiller-induced haze to the sound of his PAK whirring as it worked overtime to mend his wounds and fully repair his nerve endings. After a month of bedrest, things were going well— Zim had begun to walk around the inner base on his own, face screwed into a relatively neutral expression, because it was not befitting of a trained Irken soldier to hobble around his own base, whining in pain like a smeet!

Summary
Bad nights happen sometimes. That's normal, Dib's been through them before. The easiest solution to fight the nightmares is to avoid them completely. Simply don't sleep. Easier to do when you have a distraction, especially if it's in the form of an alien Invader who's got this brilliant idea to kidnap you, fly you out to the middle of the solar system and not be entirely truthful in his reasoning for it.
Dib is exhausted, Zim is being vague and Gir is currently chewing on some questionable objects.

Summary
