Glare fixed firmly in place, Katsuki allowed himself to be led toward the rest of his class; everyone was starting to sit in a circle and Deku dropped down beside him, tugging him down as he settled comfortably on the floor. His hand was a comforting weight against his, an anchor that pulled at something in his stomach, and Katsuki sat beside him with far more grace than the other had managed.
He eyed the cup clutched tightly in Deku's other hand, its contents sloshing dangerously over the edge of red plastic.
Yeah, this was definitely a stupid bad idea.

TIME TRAVEL — Unfinished. Stops soon after the Chuunin Exams. Majorly Divergent already tho, so worth the read. Mostly wholesome content. Light romance (but unresolved.) 4thWar!Gaara&Naruto are at the end of their ropes and everyone else is dead. So they jump back in time, going back approx 12 years (to when they were 6). Gaara to save his uncle. Naruto to stop the Uchiha massacre. It’s pretty aimless for a while, since they’re six. So prepare for lots of time skips and gathering of people. The most latest chapters were more plot-orientated, but they didn’t get very far.
THOUGHTS — Great! It’s sad that it’s unfinished tho. It was just about to get really exciting T.T like all the build up was leading to this. But either way, I enjoyed the read. The author writes well, and their prose was easy to read and engaging. I’m not sure whether to call if character-driven or plot-driven. The POV is a bit distant, so it’s not like the kind of heavy character introspection that I usually like. But it’s not necessarily a hyperactive fix it either (although that may be because of the fic’s relatively slow progress timeline wise.) Anyway, all in all? Would read again! Especially if updates (last update was Nov. 2018.) But, even if it doesn’t, I wouldn’t mind rereading it this in the future. As a note for future me though, read this for the wholesome family kind of content. Not necessarily the fix-it vibes, unless I’m feeling up for domestic content??? Dont read it for the romance aspect either. Since Naruto&Gaara go back to their bodies but are mentally adults... so yeah LMFAO romance is not for a while still.

TIME TRAVEL — Post 4th Shinobi War Sasuke is sent back in time (body and all). He goes back before the clan is massacred, and has a choice in either staying and changing the future but staying permanently, or leaving and going back to peaceful after-war times. He decides to stay. Major Divergence! Mostly Gen, future pairings are bxb.
THOUGHTS — All time favorite! Whoop! I’m not sure if it’s the summary or what (the summary is really vague, all I got from it was that it was time travel, which in itself is not a very unique premise). But I really didn’t find this fic interesting at first. I was surprised to find out that I was completely wrong in judging the book by its cover lol! (Vague summary aside, this story is definitely unique. I haven’t come across many—or any at all tbh— Sasuke-centric fics where he physically travels into the past! So yeah. Fun times all aroun.) It’s very Good! Packed with rich character-driven plot threads mixed in with the fix-it vibes that I thrive off of when it comes to time travel fics. Things are already shaping up to be completely different from what we know in canon, which is definitely exciting! The author’s writing is pretty good as well. It’s engaging and easy to read, plus, their pacing is smooth — not too slow, but not too fast either. All in all? Definitely something I’ll be retreading in the future, update or no! (Not much has been resolved yet, and the story has a long way to go, but all the divergences so far have been interesting!)

MICHAEL!DEAN — Dean says yes at the Green Room 2.0, and it’s not as conditional as he thought it would be. He starts off knowing things that he shouldn’t, and grows wings along the way. This is an alternate Season 5 that’s not really better or worse cause the ending is definitely not any happier. But it is a unique take.
THOUGHTS — I’ve read this before?? I think? It’s hard to say if I finished it back the time tho 🤔 This time I read it all the way through. It’s a good read. I didn’t expect any less. I love Michael!Dean fics and this one is not light on that. Writing wise? It’s hard to read. Idk what it is. Maybe I’m just not as focused as I should be? But the first few chapters were grueling to get through. It’s clean though and the prose itself flows well. It’s just... hard to process? That gets better over time, but some scenes still felt a bit like a struggle. I’ll see if I still feel the same the next time I read it. I might just not be at top form rn.
Characters? Very very well done. I love them here. The most prominent of course is the whole Dean and Michael synergy. The author handles that very interesting. It was compelling to the 💯👌. But even Sam and Castiel were really well done in this fic. I love how everyone just accepts that Castiel is in love with Dean 😂 And that Dean is a little bit in love with him too. But it’s not a big deal you know? It just is. And that’s fricken beautiful.
Overall? Would definitely read again. I’ll have to read it slower next time too. Just in case that’s the thing causing my comprehension issues.

THOUGHTS -- Interesting and unique premise! I've read this before. But it was unfortunately deleted. I was able to find a copy of it. And I think I have it saved on my Gdrive as well (with the rest of the SPN fics that I read last year lol). I'm glad I was found it again. Because, while it's not exactly the most coherent fic out there (the writing is fine, I mean the plot. It's not the most structured, and things are a bit too easy, but hey. I guess it's meant to be lighthearted!) it's a fic that I would definitely want to read again.

Qiu Haitang raised her head, “Oh? That book?” She tilted her head and showed a disdainful expression, “It certainly looked like it was a top quality book, right? Good paper, good cover/ But the content is a complete gibberish to me, truly, don’t judge a book by its cover.”
"Gibberish?" Shen Jiu opened it and saw several characters he couldn't make sense of. This might be interesting.
At that time, Shen Jiu didn't know this book would be his lifeline in the future as he was faced with life's incongruity and absurdity.

ALTERNATE UNIVERSE — SJ!SQQ. Instead of hosting a transmigrator, SQQ (Shen Jiu) finds a book that tells the story Luo Binghe (the complete PDIW). He doesn’t really think much of it at first, but later, when he accepts a disciple by the same name, he realizes that his future is bleak indeed.
[Mostly GEN. There’s some slash at the end, but without the bonus chapters, it’s mostly pre-Slash. Should be read as a total canon rewrite with ShenJiu!POV. Angst Level is 3. Pretty neutral!]
THOUGHTS — Good read all in all! This was nice, the writing is a bit clumsy (with grammar mostly, the prose reads perfectly fine) tho. Also, it’s closer to canon than I was expecting, but the different perspective was compelling despite the fact. The premise (Shen Jiu learning the future from a book rather than time travelling) is unique too, even if it’s similar to the time travelling fics, the author manages to give its own sense of uniqueness.
Definitely ShenJiu-centric. This explored his character development quite thoroughly. Giving him quite the redemption! While also offering a HEA for others.
Ahh too bad it’s unfinished. I would have liked to see those bonus chapters. As it is though? It can be read as pretty much done. I assume the bonus chapters are mostly for romance? Either way, I’d like to read it again in the future.

ALTERNATE UNIVERSE ADVENTURE STORY — This is a PIDW/SVSSS remix of the anime series “Made in Abyss” I’ve never read or watched it. But basic premise used in this fic is the world has an area called The Endless Abyss that is separated into seven distinct layers. Each layer you go down, the worse things get (creatures are stronger, more death traps, lack of knowledge cause of few survivors, etc.) What’s more, every time you go down a layer, the place will do its best to keep you there. As in, if you try to ascend, you will be affected in some way (worse and worse the further you go down). The cultivation sects travel the area regularly, but much of the Endless Abyss is unexplored.
[LBH is still the main protag here, but it’s not really a story about him or SY (who is a Shixiong in this case). This is an adventure story through and through! Detailing their adventure down to the depths of the abyss with the requisite furry companion~]
THOUGHTS — Ahh! Great Read! I’ve been finding adventure stories like this more and more recently, and this one is done particularly well! I’ve never watched or read the Made in Abyss anime or manga, so idk how accurate it is or not. I don’t really mind either way tbh dkdkdks I just like how those new elements were mixed into more familiar SVSSS and PIDW elements. Creating an entirely new world to explore! Definitely something I’d want to read again in the future!! It’s one to remember ☺️
