Well hello there intrepid reader, and welcome to this guide that I am working on. This guide called Behind the Scenes now, right off the bat, I am going to tell you that honestly when it comes to writing and everything that I will be mentioning in this guide there is no absolutely right or wrong way to go about it.
The best thing that you can do is just go ahead and write. To do your best with what creativity that you have. With your characters and your ideas. But this can be something of a starting point I guess. A reference point if all else fails.
And who knows, maybe there will be something good in here.

Because here we go then. On to actually writing. Also there will be a handful of optional writing/brainstorming exercises scattered throughout for you to try as you go along. Maybe you might even find a starting point for a story.

The corrupted wormhole spit Lance out at the edges of the ever expanding galaxy, with a corruption infection burning its way down his spine and Blue so damaged she’s offline.
He wasn’t expecting to be pulled in by a gravitational pull of a dark planet, never expected that crash landing would wake sleeping monsters.
Coupled with his own sense of self-worth, he wonders if the team would even come looking for him. Somewhere deep down he hopes they won’t, the planet he’s on isn’t nice and he’s not even sure him and Blue will survive. On the other side of the coin Lance knows they’ll come looking, they need Blue.
One thing he knows for certain. When they do find him, whether it be on this forsaken planet or in space, it’ll be too late.
Because to fight monsters you had to become one yourself to survive.

A while back, I was looking for a good character creation survey to help flesh out my Shepard for role-playing and head-canon (and also fan fiction, of course!). I couldn't find any, so I ended up making one myself!
This survey is just a tool, and it can be used as thoroughly or as sparsely as you want. Some of the questions are best answered before you start playing, others aren't relevant until you've completed the trilogy.
These questions are meant to spark your imagination and really dig deep into what makes YOUR Shepard Special!
