From a prompt on the kmeme: I'm in the mood for something sad and angsty, and I know anon will never disappoint.
So, the Warden and his chosen love have been together for years and, though it's been rough, they've stuck through it and are happily in love.
Except now the Warden has started to feel signs that the Calling is coming, and because the Wardens are so secretive, their LI has no idea that it's happening.
How does it happen? Does the Warden reveal the truth or just leave in the middle of the night? How does their lover react, resentful that they were kept in the dark or vow to make the most of the time they have left?
OP's personal favorite pairing is Zevran/M!Mahariel, but is not picky! Whatever anon is feeling for this is cool with me! Just make it nice and sad/bittersweet and I'll be happy!

Really really really good. One of the best I've read. No inconsistencies that i can think of, although i still don't know where they were from, and actually, no, I'm totally lost about when and for how long they were friends. They met when they were thirteen until they were like maybe seventeen and still it sounds like they were childhood friends. But otherwise, a brilliant story, great angst, consistent characters. .. Being rich and famous in the end was even unnecessary because it made it a bit cliché and it didn't need it, it was so good already without it, but even that was well written, not too hyped or image/label/manager/being famous -centered (although didn't their manager or label have anything to say about their image? What even was their image, they were apparently publicly out of the closet ). Lovely

Remus Lupin, the novelist, a novelist, perhaps his novelist, was as dry as the desert and had an exterior that seemed impossible to crack at first. But Sirius got to see it crack--when Remus would talk quickly, swearing every other word, making Sirius laugh with spontaneous overshares and delightfully wry jokes; when there was praise and compliments coupled alongside sarcastic remarks; when he would text in the morning to let him know he was on his way, or in the evening to follow up on something they had talked about. Sirius looked forward to them every single time.
He enjoyed the personal anecdotes Remus would sprinkle into conversation when he was exasperated or exhausted. He enjoyed the unabashed rudeness, compared to everyone else in the Upper Peninsula who was too polite for their own good sometimes, tiptoeing around honesty in favor of pleasantries. But…he mostly enjoyed when the hard exterior would fade entirely showcasing the inside of a person who had had a rough few years but an impossibly kind heart, and the incoming texts would read I sat by the lake today and thought of your show or a simple hello on weekends when they didn’t see each other at all.

Todoroki was patently uncertain, had opened his eyes just to stare down at his shoes with what Shouta could only identify as discomfort. He was still routinely scrunching the sleeves of his uniform, lowering his head so that his hair fell over his face.
“A training mishap,” Shouta echoed, tone carefully neutral. “That’s what you want to go with?”
While out on patrol, Aizawa gets hit by a Quirk that allows him to feel the pain of anyone he comes into physical contact with. It isn't a big deal - conversely, it wouldn't have been a big deal, were Todoroki not sporting hidden injuries.

Where Aizawa is hit with a quirk so he can feel people's pain. THe class has a paper test and Aizawa notes how calm and stoic Shoto looks. Aizawa goes to pick up Shoto's test but touches Shoto's hand and is hit with extreme pain that it makes it hard for him to breathe. Aizawa just stares wide eye at SHoto since Shoto is just looking at Aizawa surprised but not like he's hurt that for a second Aizawa thought the quirk was an amplifying quirk. Aizawa pulls SHoto out of the room and ask how he got hurt and if someone is hurting him but Shoto just says it was a training accident and that he will accept getting punished for hiding his injuries but Aizawa says that's not the point. Shoto loses control of his quirk so Aizawa stops asking him question but makes him go see Recovery Girl. Recovery Girl tells Shoto to take off his shirt since she has to see the extent of his injuries and SHoto is hesitant and looks at Aizawa and ask if he has to but he says yes. Shoto takes off his shirt and Recovery Girl and AIzawa gasp because Shoto's wrist is sprained, he has burns everywhere, his ribs are cracked. THey are surprised when Shoto admits he was hurt a week ago since Shoto has been attending class like normal with injuries like that and Shoto is pretending so well that he's fine. Shoto falls asleep after Recovery Girl kisses him and they both assume that it's Endeavor that's hurting him and Recovery Girl says SHoto's wrist sprain is from compression not overexertion. They mention having to take pictures but REcovery Girl assumes that Shoto likely wouldn't have let them. Shoto sleeps through the whole school and Shoto is surprised of this when he wakes up. Aizawa ask again if Shoto is safe at home and Shoto says yes and goes home but Aizawa gives him his number. Shoto goes home and gets beaten by Endeavor even though Shoto ask him to stop. Shoto ends up running to a lake and seeing a payphone, and in his confusion ends up calling Aizawa who panics when he hears Shoto who says he needs help and that he's hurt and his words are slurring and mentions how his head got kicked. Shoto says he visited Dabi or Touya and Aizawa thought he had hurt him but SHoto says no and that Touya is dead. Aizawa tells Shoto to keep on talking to him even as the payphone is about to run out. It runs out and SHoto falls asleep and wakes next to Aizawa and Yamada Hizashi rushing to him and Aizawa just comforting Shoto that he's here before Shoto just kind of faints on him.
