(11/0/6) (1) Adam Brookes wrote Night Heron. It is a very very good book. One reviewer called it tense paranoid spy fiction at its best. Night Heron was nominated for many awards. Deservedly. Adam Brookes wrote two sequels. Continuing telling the story of Phillip Mangan, Trish Patterson, the Poons. There is in the second book a time when Trish is in Thailand with two probably SAS operatives. Mr. Brookes writes in a nice little sexual attraction between Trish and one of the operatives. I wanted to put the two characters, Trish and the operative “Cliff”, together again to see what would happen. What if Cliff calls Trish while she’s at the embassy in Washington DC. Also I have written extensively, though clumsily and incompletely, sequels about the Dino and Terry characters from Taylor Hackford’s movie Proof of Life. I have written what I imagine could/would happen to Dino and to Terry after the events of Taylor Hackford's movie. They would start their own “shop”. And I wondered about involving Cliff and Trish with Dino and Terry’s K & R “Shop.”
