Your popularity could be credited to your arguably most famous client; a certain webslinging hero - who you actually know the identity of. You and Peter Parker swiftly became good friends after he came to you to help design his suit just over two years ago.
Another benefit to your friendship, was that Peter introduced you to Dr Otto Octavius. You didn't know as much about his work compared to Peter, but he wanted some emotional backup when he eventually *did* meet him.

When Spidey and Ghost-Spider chase Doc Ock and Lizard to Paris, they're initially unaware the villains have got a scheme in mind to steal genetic samples from a Parisian lab that Rose's dad works out, that will allow for the creation of animal human hybrids. Nor are they aware of the new heroes who think they're the bad guys. Problematic, for sure. Especially considering Spidey and Ghost-Spider are almost certainly going to have to team up with Ladybug and Cat Noir in order to stop Ock and Lizard turning Paris into a city of animal human hybrids. That in of itself being a task that wouldn't be helped by a certain megalomaniacal Russian hunter showing up in the city to study the Miraculous Holders...
