Summary
Wings are a symbol of ambition, of power, of respect.
They are not something that can be taken from the universe by force, they must be given. They are given to only the most capable, to the worthy.
And Techno just woke up with wings.
OR
AU where wings are a sign of being blessed by the gods or something along those lines. The royal family are the only ones to ever have wings, but the universe decides to have a bit of fun, and gives Techno some.
This causes some issues, considering the fact the royal family hears of Techno's new wings, and then deems him to be family. Even if Techno doesn't think the same.

Tommy hacks out a cough as tears begin to run down his cheeks, the makeup that hid his flaws coming undone. “Nothing!” He chokes out, “I-I didn’t do anything!”

The job seemed simple enough at the time.
What Techno was told is that he was going after nobles. Nobles, in their fancy little chariots underneath the soothing moonlight of midnight. Nobles, which are surely important to the empire in some sort of way, but not so much that they can’t be replaced.
Nobles, who’s heads always end with Technoblade getting paid well and having a few weeks for time off.
These are not simple nobles. Technoblade is getting scammed.
(Or, Assassin!Technoblade gets a job to kill sbi. He's like "That's definitely not in my paygrade" but he ends up getting their attention anyway, and he's got his own secrets to keep...)

Summary
Taking off another’s mask is un unspoken outlaw. A silent agreement within both parties, a baseline of respect. Phil and Techno had no respect for the individuals who hurt their family. And whilst those forsaken few would face their earned ends so very soon.
For now this.
This would begin to satiate their blood thirsty autonomy.
So, in a silent ‘yes’ techno reaches out first. Uncaring claws break the straps around Theseus temples and jaw. Pulling the metal away along with a string of sweat and blood.
Techno muses the possibility of the little hero having that of a dog's nose underneath, but instead he is met with a strangely familiar one.
