Just Know You’re Not Alone

Chapter 9: Todoroki Fuyumi and Todoroki Natsuo and Todoroki Shouto

Notes:

...I'm not entirely satisfied with this ending, but it's still fun

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Atsuhiro walked through the halls of UA, Jin by his side.

He never thought he’d even be allowed in here, yet here he was.

Of course, having a minor villainous record is nothing when your children are students there.

Jin patted his arm. “Atsuhiro, I’m sure they're fine."

Atsuhiro grumbled. “I still worry. All of them have gotten shit for villainous quirks and villainous family in the past, and even if this is a school of future heroes you know our experience with heroes—"

Jin sighed. “Midoriya is in class with Katsuki, he would have let one of us know if anything really bad happened.”

Atsuhiro glared. “Unless he himself was involved, that self sacrificial dumbass of a child—”

Jin sighed again. “Just relax.”

Atsuhiro grumbled again as they walked into the principal’s office. Their three boys were in there, along with Eraserhead, Vlad King, All Might, and Nezu.

He sighed, but supposed it made sense. They were technically ex-villains, after all. It would be best to protect the students.

He turned to their boys. "What did you three do so that all of you are here in the office on the first day?”

Jin sighed. “Atsuhiro, please relax. What happened?”

Katsuki smirked. “There was a pervert in my class and I dropped him out the window. Aizawa-sensei said I did a good job.”

Neito grinned, his eyes a bit red. "A few people were making fun of one of my classmate’s chewie so I really had to fight them. How many people do you think I can trick into thinking my quirk is rabies like in middle school?”

Hitoshi snorted. "I’m moving up to the hero course full time. Also Midoriya broke his bones because of the thing with All Might we aren’t supposed to know about but we do because Katsuki and him are codependent.”

All Might choked on his coffee

Katsuki spluttered. “We aren’t codependent!”

Atsuhiro shook his head. "You are, firecracker. Okay, so none of you are actually in much trouble?”

The boys shrugged in unison. “Nope.”

Jin smiled at them. “Good. I trust this will be handled fine then?"

Aizawa rolled his eyes. “I’ll never understand how you managed to raise these three. They drive me crazy already, and I've only had one in my class.”

Atsuhiro smirked. “Oh, they’re not our only kids.”

The adults in the room stared at him. The boys giggled.

Jin sighed and grabbed Atsuhiro’s arm. “Have a nice day?”

Aizawa groaned. “There’s more of them?"

A few months later, Atsuhiro was regretting his existence.

He sighed. “Himiko get off the coffee table, it’s not yours."

Himiko pouted. “But I’m going to be here so often to visit our UA boys anyways!”

All Might stared from the corner, watching them. "Are you allowed in here, or…"

Himiko smirked. "I work directly under one of the half decent people in the Hero Commission.”

Atsuhiro nodded. “We’re all very proud of her.”

Katsuki groaned from the couch. “Yeah, sure, after she stops messing with the furniture.”

Hitoshi approached from the elevator, joined by his friends and Midoriya. “You do realize we are the ones that are going to have to live here, Himiko.”

Himiko rolled her eyes. “Sure, yeah yeah. Tomura, how’s your game going?”

Tomura huffed. “We might set a launch date soon. Then it's time for advertising.”

One of Hitoshi’s friends’ brother—Todoroki? right?—perked up. “You work with video games?”

Tomura nodded. “Yeah.”

Endeavor walked into the room with the main Todoroki in question. Nearly everyone glared at him.

Endeavor glared back. “Video games are a waste of time.”

Tomura raised an eyebrow. “Actually they can be helpful with reflexes and reasoning skills. Are you here to help with the move in, Endeavor-san?”

Himiko wrinkled her nose. “Ugh, what a bitch.”

Several classmates whipped around to stare at her. Atsuhiro sighed.

“Himiko, we can’t kill him.”

Himiko pouted. “But we’re like 90% sure he's the one that hurt Dabi!"

Todoroki’s brother frowned. "Who's Dabi?”

Katsuki forced Todoroki to sit down next to him. “Another brother.”

Midoriya hummed and sat on their other side. “Shouto, you only have Natsuo, right?”

Atsuhiro frowned. Those names…

Katsuki’s friend—Kirishima? Kirishima—leaned over the back of the couch onto Katsuki's shoulder. “How much family do you have, dude?”

Katsuki hummed. “Kuro-san’s getting stuff, Auntie Magne and Papa are up in either Hitoshi’s or my room, Neito’s hanging with his friends, Dabi and Eri were setting up Neito’s room last I heard, Keigo’s off being the number three hero—”

Aizawa appeared in the doorway. “I’m sorry, is Hawks one of your children?”

Atsuhiro sighed. “Yes, I suppose. We didn’t raise him, but Dabi brought him home one day.”

Midoriya hummed. “Normal people don’t keep people.”

Hitoshi raised an eyebrow at him. “You and Katsuki have so many issues and your mother is literally just like Jin but slightly less murderous.”

One of the other students spluttered. “Murderous?!”

Endeavor glared. “So you are the villainous parents of students here—”

Atsuhiro looked him directly in the eyes. “Oh he’s a villain because someone jumped out in front of his car. The only time he gets murderous is around terrible people, like child abusers.”

Endeavor shuffled a bit. Atsuhiro could see Natsuo smirking and Shouto looking slightly happier.

The door to the dorms opened. Atsuhiro smiled at Dabi’s timing.

Dabi walked in with Eri on his hip and a grocery bag on his arm, nodding to Aizawa as he went. Everyone stared.

He stopped at Endeavor. “Oh look Eri, it’s the trash man!”

Eri smiled and waved like the sweetheart she was. “Hi trash man!”

Natsuo hid a snicker. “I—”

Dabi turned to Shouto with a smile. “Oh hey, it’s the boy that reminds me of Peppermint! Shouto, right?”

Shouto frowned. “Why am I a candy?”

Dabi laughed. “No, Peppermint is what I call my youngest brother, because I have amnesia and can’t remember his name. He was sweet, but a little cold, and sassy. Loved him to bits, though I was really mad at him at one point.”

Himiko nodded and pointed. “And he’s got his other brother Summer, and Yumi.”

Dabi turned to Natsuo. ”You there remind me of Summer, actually. Nice and warm and relaxing, but also really annoying. Oh yeah, I got some ice cream for your dorms!”

Katsuki groaned. “Please tell me you didn’t buy vanilla ice cream you’re not going to eat again.”

Dabi smirked and made to head to the kitchen. “Okay, I didn’t buy vanilla ice cream I’m not going to eat!”

Atsuhiro sighed. “Dabi—”

The elevator doors opened and Dabi froze.

Tomura frowned and sat up. “Dabi?”

Atsuhiro turned to find Todoroki’s other sibling—Fuyumi, was it?—approaching. “Shouto, I put—"

She froze.

Dabi broke into a smile, boosting Eri on his hip. “Oh, hi Yumi!”

Fuyumi stared. “Tou’?”

Dabi hummed a bit. “Oh, that’s my name.”

Fuyumi glared. “If you have amnesia I will forgive you for not coming home.”

Dabi nodded, still looking a bit shaken. “Yes.”

Himiko turned to stare at the Todoroki brothers. “Wait, you two are actually Peppermint and Summer.”

Natsuo stared. “Holy shit.”

Fuyumi eyed Dabi’s bags. “Did you get ice cream?”

Dabi nodded. "Yes, for their dorms.”

Fuyumi raised an eyebrow. “Vanilla?”

Dabi set Eri down to pull out a carton. “Here, for you.”

Katsuki stared. "Oh my fuck.”

Tomura stared. “You…You’re his Yumi.”

Fuyumi huffed. “Yes. Fuyumi, actually.”

Hitoshi buried his face in his hands. “You’re the reason he keeps buying vanilla ice cream he never eats."

Katsuki blinked. “Dabi’s name is Tou?”

Natsuo leaned over slightly. “It’s Touya.”

Katsuki hummed. “Oh. I like Dabi better.”

Atsuhiro sighed. “Of course you do.”

Dabi turned back to Natsuo. “Summer! I love you very much. Would you like to meet my other siblings?”

Atsuhiro sighed again. His kids were such problem makers.

Shuuichi walked in, immediately frowning. “Oh hey Natsuo! I didn’t know you had someone here?”

Natsuo blinked. “Shuuichi?”

Tomura groaned. “Your fucking med school friend?!

Dabi grinned. “Shuuichi! This is Summer!”

Shuuichi stared. “…I was gone for like, five minutes. How the fuck—”

Eri waved to Fuyumi and smiled up at her. “Hi Yumi! I’m Eri! I want to be like Dabi-nii when I grow up!”

Hitoshi groaned. “Eri—”

Atsuhiro sighed. "Eri please don’t.”

Dabi crouched next to her and cooed. "Aw, we can team up with Katsuki and do some arson, okay?”

Eri grinned like the little monster she was. "Yay! Arson with Katsuki-nii-chan!”

Jin snorted from the stairwell, drawing attention to himself and Magne. “Ah, so we have it confirmed that Dabi is Endeavor’s kid.”

Atsuhiro nodded. “Yep.”

Himiko hopped off the coffee table. “So we can murder him now?”

Atsuhiro shrugged. “Sure. Endeavor, get over here.”

Endeavor glared and puffed up. “What—”

Himiko knocked him out in one move.

One of Hitoshi’s friends jumped up. “That’s illegal!”

One of Katsuki’s friends frowned. “He’s the number two hero!”

Atsuhiro waved them off. “And we killed All For One, your point?”

All Might choked. “You killed All For One?!”

Jin nodded with a smile. “Yeah, he was abusing Tomura.”

Tomura buried his face in his hands. “Sup?”

Jin tilted his head. “Although according to Kurogiri’s records he’s actually Shimura Tenko…”

All Might nearly fell over. “What?!

Midoriya winced. “All Might, are you okay?”

Kurogiri portalled into the room. “I brought everything to their rooms, what did I miss?”

Tomura muttered into his hands. “Dabi found his birth siblings.”

Himiko grinned. “We get to kill Endeavor!”

Eri pumped her fist. “Arson!”

Katsuki reached over to her from the couch. “Arson!”

Eri ran up to him for a high five, Dabi watching on fondly.

He nodded. “Arson!”

Aizawa stared, pale. “Oboro?”

Atsuhiro stared. Sure, they were finally able to see Kurogiri’s very young face, and they knew he knew Eraserhead and Present Mic, but how much?

Kurogiri just hummed. “Oh, hello Shouta. You’re a hero, that’s great! I couldn’t find much about you, just Hizashi.”

Aizawa stared, choked up. "What the fuck.”

Kurogiri sighed and walked over to him. “I’m taking him to go talk to Hizashi about my death and mind control.”

Jin nodded. “Cool, be back for dinner!”

Kurogiri rolled his eyes and portalled out, dragging Aizawa with him.

Midoriya frowned at Shouto. “Are you okay?"

Shouto’s face didn’t move from its perfectly neutral expression. “This is the best day of my life.”

Atsuhiro sighed. “Why is this family like this.”

Jin laughed. “Don’t worry, I’ll supervise our little arsonists!”

Atsuhiro raised an eyebrow. “I’d rather you not get set on fire, you’re already hot enough.”

Jin rolled his eyes.

One of Katsuki’s friends—Kaminari?—stared at them weird. “Man, you managed to flirt and shut him down too?”

Jin shook his head. “He’s not flirting with me.”

Everyone stared at him. The family snickered. Atsuhiro sighed deeply.

He was in love with an oblivious fucking dumbass.

A girl with purple hair snorted. “He was flirting with you. Trust me.”

Everyone stared at her. Atsuhiro caught her mouth you’re welcome to Katsuki and Hitoshi.

Jin turned to him. Atsuhiro waited.

“…Wait, you’ve been flirting with me??”

Atsuhiro sighed. He loved this man. "…Jin. We’re married. With nine kids. We share a bed. I’ve been straight up saying ‘I love you’ to your face for over a year now. All of the children have bets about it. I’m in love with you, and you are officially the last person to know, despite me telling you.”

Jin stared at him. Atsuhiro mentally started planning avoidance tactics.

"…I love you too?”

Atsuhiro blinked. What.

Jin stared. “Atsuhiro, I would sometimes see you in the lobby of our old apartment building. I knew that you were very pretty and nice, that was a really big part of why I freaked out so much when I broke into your apartment.”

A student made a noise. “What—“

Neito, who had apparently appeared at some point with his ginger friend Kendou, slapped a hand over the offender’s mouth. “Shut up, we’ll ask about that later.”

All the kids leaded forward eagerly, even Magne raising an eyebrow. Atsuhiro realized none of them knew how he and Jin officially had met.

Jin continued. “I didn’t mean to adopt children together either, but then Tomura showed up and we kept him and you protected him and it happened again and again.”

Atsuhiro groaned. “Jin, you’re a fucking moron.”

Jin waved his arms dramatically. “You’re a moron too, if you couldn’t tell I liked you back!”

Kendou frowned. "Wait, they weren’t together?”

Eri grinned from where she had ended up back in Dabi’s arms. “Nope!”

Midoriya stared. “Holy shit.”

Atsuhiro sighed. “Can I kiss you? I feel like it’s been long enough.”

Jin glared.

Atsuhiro winced. “Or not—“

Oh.

Oh.

Oh. Kissing was actually pretty nice.

A bit awkward, but nice. And Jin was nice.

The people watching them less so, so Atsuhiro finally pulled away.

Neito whistled. “Wow, what else did I miss?”

Fuyumi turned to him. “Hello, I’m Dabi’s sister, and apparently you’re going to kill my father. And you might adopt us, I’m not quite sure yet.”

Neito blinked. “Cool!”

Tomura stood up abruptly. “Okay though, yay, you got your shit together, now how did you actually meet? I thought you guys always lived together but Pa broke into your apartment?”

Jin winced. “It’s a long story?”

Hitoshi glared. “No, okay, how did you break into Dad’s apartment? The hell?”

Atsuhiro sighed and turned to their kids, their classmates, and Magne, who was also raising an eyebrow.

He sighed. “Alright. To set the scene, I hadn’t slept in fifty two hours, and I opened the door to find a really attractive person lying on my couch…”

Notes:

...I'm really going to miss this dumbass family.

Yes, Dabi is like that. Yes, Eri is now also like that. I love all my kids immensely.

Atsuhiro did file marriage paperwork for benefits and to make it easier for emergency contacts and stuff, with Jin's permission. They're literally married already, yes.

Congratulations for making it to the end! I hope you enjoyed!

We'll see what I write for next week, I guess :)

Notes:

What? an entire new au? Where it's a chaotic family? but different? no...

We don't know the ages of like, half the league. So I'm taking creative liberties.

Anyways, meet Atsuhiro Sako! He has dad instincts but he's also traumatized! Jin is a disaster but he is also really nice and protective, so...mom vibes. Two parental units in the same area? Lots of family will be aqquired.

My Tumblr, I post fics/updates about every Friday, and sometimes Sundays (might not be your fandom though). Come say hi!

Kudos and comments are welcome! (Or not, really, I did not mean to write this, so this is all for fun, but validation is always nice)
