**Well this was awkward. Why had Jax walked in on her? How did he know? Was he just waiting outside of the door for her? She should of waited. Waiting would've made so much more sense. But she felt like she needed to- ugh didn't matter right now. What could she say? "Oh I'm sorry that you walked in on my trying to cut myself." That would be quite possibly the stupidest thing in the world to say. "Oh it's not what it looks like!". That wouldn't work either. She couldn't just make up an excuse this time now that he knew. Jax looked lost in thought, perhaps he was also wondering what to say?**
*Cathy*: "So..."
**Anddd... That's about all she got.**
*Jax*: "...So indeed."
**Yep he also had no clue what to say. Makes sense, what could you say after, well everything. She was still trying to shake off her dream/memory from earlier. She's shaken out of her thoughts when Caine appears out of nowhere.**
*Caine*: "Well hello there my joyous bluebirds!"
*Jax*: "Hey Caine."
*Caine*: "Adventure time! We have a special surprise today for a special day! Meet at the stage in... 5.7 minutes!"
**And with that he vanished again. Really? What was so special about today?**
*Cathy*: "Any clue what today is?"
*Jax*: "Nope, but I'm assuming the worst"
*Cathy*: "Fair enough."
**They started to walk towards the stage area, man she wished it wasn't so bright all the time. The colors made her head throb, as if that's what she needed right now. Why was her brain acting against her? She really needed to get a hold of herself.**
**They walked in awkward silence. What should she say? Jax couldn't just forget and move on with life so fast, and neither could she. What to do…**
**They reach the stage area. What was the adventure today? Caine seemed wayyyy too excited about this… her and Jax were the last ones to arrive. She really hoped that the others wouldn't notice… but to no avail Zooble did.**
*Zooble*: “Finally started avoiding the adventures too?”
**She quickly threw on a smile. Happy.**
*Cathy*: “Psh, I'm just worried why Caine was so excited for the adventure today.”
*Zooble*: “That's fair. What were you two up to in there?”
**Oh no. How long HAD Cathy been in Jax's room? Probably- no DEFINITELY long enough to raise suspicions.**
*Cathy*: “I was teaching him how to play a card game!”
**Hey at least it was a semi believable lie?**
*Zooble*: “Sure… What game?”
**Oh er…**
*Cathy*: “Uhm, Hearts!”
**That's when Caine poofed onto the stage area floating about 3 feet off of the ground.**
*Caine*: “DID SOMEBODY SAY… HEARTS?!”
*Cathy*: “...That'd be me I suppose?”
*Caine*: “YOU GUESSED TODAYS ADVENTURE!”
*Jax*: “What.”
*Cathy*: “Uh… I agree with Jax, what?”
*Caine*: “Today is Valentine's Day! Each of you will be paired together for a very special adventure!”
**Cathy and Jax looked at each other, what was up with the constant pairing up lately? Even worse, what if they got stuck together again? They did NOT need a repeat of the room. But how would they protest without raising suspicions…?**
*Cathy*: “So uh… Who's gonna be paired up?”
*Gangle*: “Uhm… could we choose?”
**She silently celebrated in her head, great going Gangle. Now neither Jax or her had to ask now! Or maybe the hesitation was suspicious? Or maybe it was normal to the others? Ugh she was overthinking it now. Stick to the script Cathy, stick to the script.**
*Caine*: “Great question Gangle! Everyone pair up with someone in 5 seconds! Starting now!”
**Cathy looked around, she didn't want to raise suspicions, but she also doesn't want to be paired with anyone else…**

**Jax felt so out of place. Could he ask Cathy to be his buddy for the adventure? But it was a Valentine's adventure, he didn't want a repeat of the room… But no one else would really be comfortable with him other than Cathy… Maybe Pomni? No, he saw her walking up to Ragatha. Torture Gangle as usual? No, she was with Zooble. Who…?**
**Oh. Cathy and Jax were left standing next to each other anyways. This wasn't good. This was not good at all. It was already bad enough that Cathy had stayed in his room, they had been spending WAY too much time together, it definitely was going to attract unwanted attention sooner or later.**
**Oh Kinger was still there- Nope. He was not gonna pair with the crazy one. Especially not for anything lovey dovey.**
*Caine*: “Now that everyone is in their pairs, each of you will be teleported to a separate adventure! There is no goal to the adventure, have a lovely time! Bye bye now!”
**Poof!**

**There was a blinding flash of light, and Cathy was hit with the smell of… funnel cake? She opened her eyes, and let them adjust. They were at a fair? When Caine said ‘Valentine’s’ and ‘very special' she did not exactly expect a fair. More like a restaurant or something.**
**She looked over at Jax, he still had his eyes closed too. Cathy flicks his arm. And Jax's eyes open.**
*Jax*: “Ow, what was that for?”
**Cathy shrugs and then Jax sighs.**
*Jax*: “Uh… What now?”
*Cathy*: “I dunno.”
*Jax*: “Well isn't that helpful.”
**Why did Caine seem so excited for this adventure? It was just a fai… oh. It was all decorated up with hearts and red. She looked around, where was everyone? It was only her and Jax again- When she catches you Caine…**
**Speak of the devil, Caine appears in front of them with the words “Valentine's Fair” in giant bright glittery red letters above him.**
*Caine*: “Welcome to our Valentine's Fair! Look around and there is much to do here! Almost as much as the circus! Here you can go on rides-”
**Cathy interrupts him.**
*Cathy*: “We know what a fair is Caine.”
*Caine*: “Oh… Well have fun regardless, my little colorful wombats!”
**And with that he disappears. Again. At least with the constant rushing, Jax couldn't ask her about what had happened earlier. But now the rush has stopped. And they were alone. In a fair. Together. This was gonna be a long day wasn't it?**
