Chapter Text
It was a beautiful day outside. Birds were singing and the sun was shining. The sun rays were shining through a window of a certain diva's room. She was lying on her bed with her arms and legs all over the place. Her hair was tangled, and her eye bags served as proof of her late night gaming session. Soon, Nene's eyes opened. Just as she woke up, she turned on her phone to look at the time. The clock showed 8:01, it seems like she overslept!
Nene quickly got up and immediately went to the bathroom. After that, she started to get dressed as fast as she could. While putting on clothes, she ran to the kitchen, grabbed some bread and butter, put them together and made a sandwich, which Nene instantly stuffed in her mouth as she sprinted to school.
Nene ran as fast as she could, and as Nene started reaching the crosswalk, she didn't notice the fact that the lights were still red, and cars were passing by quickly. As Nene was running on the intersection, a car was speeding down the road. But when Nene noticed, it was too late.
The car already hit her.

Nene woke up with the sky above her. The surface she was lying on was really soft, and when Nene looked down, she noticed that she was lying on a cloud.
"Where..am I?" - Nene murmured, as she was looking around. She noticed a big gate covered in gold in front of her, and the answer became clear to her. She was in heaven. She was dead.
Nene's eyebrows furrowed, her eyes were staring in horror. She was so young, yet due to her carelessness she already lost her life. She had so much to do, so much aspirations, but now she will never reach them. How will her parents react? Her friends? Her troupe?-
While Nene was in distraught, a voice came through.
"Do not fear, my child, not everything is lost."
Nene trembled when she heard the voice. She started looking around, but no one was there except for her. Nene stood up and spoke. "W-who are you?" - asked Nene.
"Don't worry, my child, I am just one of the beings which guides the humanity" - answered the voice.
"S-so you're like a god?" - Nene asked.
"You could say so - answered It - But We've called you here for a reason."
"A reason?" - Nene was conflicted. Gods, apparently, called her here..for a reason? Was she overstaying her welcome on earth? Has she done something so despicable that the Gods had to eliminate her? What could possibly be the reason?!
"We won't explain for too long, but what we need you to do is to connect two souls who are meant for each other with the strongest bond."
"...Huh? What- what do you mean by that?"
"The men who are meant for each other should be together, and you are the one who's capable of fulfilling that."
The men? Does she even know them so she can get them together? And why she is the one to be chosen?
"You are probably familiar with thou. One a Shining Star in a midnight sky, the other the Moon, bringing out the stars glorious shine.."
A star? A moon? Wait, that reminds her of someone. Do the Gods talk about..
"You mean Tsukasa and Rui?! Am I supposed to get them together?! But how, and why them?!"
"Oh, our dear diva, if you knew.."
"If thou won't be together, the world you once knew will collapse, and no more life in this universe will be created"
"What..do you mean?"
"Well, we shall show you.."
The Gods pulled Nene forcefully forward. The sensation of moving not by will, but by an external power was an...experience for Nene, thats for sure.
The pulling stopped, and as Nene stood there in shock, suddenly, images flashed in her head. Countless images of worlds being destroyed, and all because of a certain duo. One universe showed a sorcerer going crazy after the loss of his loved one, leading to the world being destroyed because of his magic. A different universe showed a prince losing his loved one, leading to his kingdoms collapse and the world economy being destroyed, along with the universe.
There were many types of stories, but they all showed the world being annihilated just because Rui and Tsukasa couldn't be together. Nene was horrified, she couldn't believe the fact that the whole world depended on their relationship status!
"So...the whole world depends on them?"
"Yes, my child, this world is not meant for them, and their bond soon will be destroyed. But thats where you come in. You have the ability of changing their fate, their course of life, you could even say, that you have the ability to save the world."
Nene was confused. - "R-really..? But could I do it alone? What if something goes wrong and-"
"Shush, we know you won't fail, and we will guide you in this journey, don't worry."
..Well, if the Gods will help her, then..
"..I don't have a choice, do I? I guess I will try...but before that, you WILL send me back to earth, right?"
"Oh yes, my child, do not worry. You will come back to life, and you will proceed with your activities as you usually do, just with a new goal."
"Well...that's good news. I guess you can send me back now." - Nene said, a bit nervous.
"Well then, we believe in you, we will aid you in the mission, and remember, we know that you are the only one who can do this, good luck!"
While the Gods were talking, a light in Nene's eyes appeared. It was getting harder to see, and soon she couldn't hear the Gods as clearly as before. It felt like she was falling asleep...

Nene woke up in an unknown room to her. The ceiling was grey with big square lights built in it. The bed she was lying on wasn't the softest, and an IV stand was hooked up to her hand. Soon she heard a voice.
"NENE!! You finally woke up!!" - Emu exclaimed. She jumped from the seat near her bed, and turned her gaze to Nene.
"W-what happened?" - Nene asked in confusion. After the talk with...Gods she needed a proper explanation.
"W-well...you got hit by a car, and the injuries were REALLY BAD!!, the doctors even said that we will lose you! I was super bummed because of that, we thought that we would have to stop performing, but then you magically got healed one night!! We were sooo happy, and now you woke up!!! Hehehe!!"
"H-huh...well, I'm glad that everything's okay..how are the others doing?"
"The others just left, but don't worry! I will call them right away!" - Emu said as she took her phone out and dialed a number.
"HEY!!! Tsukasa, are you with Rui???...Great!! You didn't leave the hospital grounds yet, right???...Oh, really?? Yay!! You have to come back right now, it is really important!!!!" - The call ended, and Emu put her phone away.
After a while, two boys came into the room. "What is it- NENE!!!" - Tsukasa shouted - "I can't believe it! You finally woke up!!!"
"Even when all hope is lost, Nene still pushes through, huh?~" - Rui said.
"Heh...Tsukasa can you please tone it down? Or I might as well go back to sleep again." - Nene firmly said. "O-oh, I'm sorry! We were just so worried, so when the news of you recovering from your injuries in a night reached us, we were surprised! But I'm glad you are okay!" - Tsukasa exclaimed.
Nene was also glad that they are together now, and that the car crash didn't affect her life drastically. But still, worry was in her, as she had to get her two best friends and troupe mates, Tsukasa and Rui, together in a relationship. This won't be easy, and she isn't really confident that she will be able to do that by herself, but the Gods will help her, so maybe not all hope is lost? Well, enough of that, she is now together with her friends, alive, and she couldn't wish for more in the moment.
Soon, the doctors came, and escorted her friends. They soon told her that she, because of the magical recovery, could return to her normal activities tomorrow. They still advised her to not push herself too much and to not attend the PE lessons for at least a week, because they don't know if the recovery is foolproof, or if the injuries will, magically, reopen.
On the next day, she had a lot to think about. After she was let free, Nene was left wondering: did her injuries magically disappear because of the Gods? Were the Gods even real? Was she really bestowed a mission of saving the world by getting her two best friends in a relationship? Well, there wasn't a clear answer. Hell, maybe the God part was just a delusion! Yes, she magically recovered, but maybe her immune system is just this good! Yeah, it was probably a dream of some sort, nothing else!
When Nene got home, she went to her room, changed into her pajamas, and went to sleep. She didn't have any energy left, even for games, and she needed an immediate rest from...the weird dream she had.
Just as she started dozing off, a certain voice came through. "No, Nene, none was a dream, all was real. You still have a burden on your shoulders to save the world, please don't forget!"
"GUH!-" - Nene gasped. What is this thunderous voice which just appeared in her head, and wait...IS SHE IN THE AFTERLIFE AGAIN??
"WAIT WHAT?! WHAT IS HAPPENING, WHY AM I HERE AGAIN?!--"
"Oh wait, we forgot to explain. We can communicate with you through dreams, and thats how they will appear to you. This is just a dreamscape, not the actual heaven, so don't be worried too much."
"H-huh??? What??- Okay, I guess???" - Nene replied. To be honest, Nene didn't have an understanding of anything that was happening to her, but she is at the very least alive!
"Also, if you need something from us, then you just need to think really hard before going to bed about us, and we will come and help in any way we can! Just call us for something important, please."
"..Okay, well, now I...can call the gods...yeah...that's normal!"
Well, she wasn't in a normal situation from the start, but now everything got weirder, but one thing came clear: everything was real. Which means that she needs to get Tsukasa and Rui in a relationship, and she doesn't even know if they have feelings for each other at this moment! And how is she supposed to get them together?! She could talk to them, but that probably won't be enough, will it? She doesn't really want to stalk them, but what if she really needs to? All of these thoughts started forming in her head, but soon the gods suddenly exclaimed.
"Nene, we are running out of time, we were happy to talk to you, and remember, we will be there with you on the journey all the way to the end, good luck!"
After the gods stopped talkin, Nene woke up. It was morning, Saturday. She had a lot of unanswered questions, but one thing was clear:
She was screwed.
