Chapter Text
Blueberry Milk was wandering around the forest area of Beast-Yeast that was located a bit further from the outskirts of the humble Yogurt Village. With notepad and pen in hand, he was having a fun time examining random plants and creatures that he came across, and crunching a few of the newly fallen leaves as he went.
Then, while in the middle of jotting down anything he deemed as noteworthy he noticed a beautiful tree from the corner of his eye.
He stopped to observe the tree that suddenly had all of his attention.
The tree was lengthy in size towering over blueberry milk, it was a captivating silver white bark tree, with healthy emerald green leaves the other trees seemed unworthy of blue’s notes. Blueberry Milk was fascinated by this unique tree, he almost wasn't aware of the person that was approaching him.
Blueberry turned around to see who was approaching and was met with the face of a cookie who had shoulder length blond hair.
The cookie had blue and yellow eyes similar to Blueberry himself, and was dressed in a regal navy blue blouse with a black corset, he had a black shawl with gold accents around the edges, and a long black cape with a glint of gold beneath it. He had black pointed fingerless gloves that looked to be slightly opaque, with golden vine-like embroidery. He was also holding a large staff with him.
They both stared blankly at one another in awkward silence for what felt like an hour, before Blueberry Milk decided to break the silence. "Hi! I didn't necessarily expect to see any other cookies out here, but I'm Blueberry Milk cookie!" Blueberry Milk said cheerily "What's your name stranger?" After a few more beats of awkward silence the other cookie says "I'm Pure Vanilla cookie." He says monotonously. "It's nice to meet you Pure Vanilla!!"
Blueberry turned his attention back to the tree that he had originally stopped to look at, and started writing in his notes again. “What are you writing?” Pure Vanilla's voice came from behind him. “Oh! Well, this tree has perfectly green leaves despite it being autumn, but it doesn’t look like the typical ever green tree!” He started, “So I’m trying to find out why!”
Pure Vanilla tilts his head slightly at Blueberry Milk and questions “Well, what do you think is different?” Blueberry begins to yammer on about the differences they notice between the silver tree in front of them, and the other surrounding trees. Pure Vanilla would hum in response every so often to show he was indeed listening. They ended up talking for what felt like only a couple minutes, but turned out to be a few hours. Blueberry Milk had somehow ended up talking about different foods and what times they are best to be eaten.
“Oh! It seems I’ve gone off on a bit of a tangent- Sorry about that my friend!” Blueberry Milk said apologetically while nervously fidgeting with the hem of his sleeve. “It's fine, don’t worry about it, I didn’t mind that much.” Pure Vanilla replies nonchalantly. “I do believe it might be time for me to take my leave however, Until we meet again my friend!” Blueberry Milk says enthusiastically. “Yeah, see you.” Pure Vanilla says quietly.

Blueberry Milk returned to his home in the Yogurt Village later that evening. He was grading some papers that his students handed in the other day, and his mind began wandering to the cookie he met earlier today. “I wonder if they will be there tomorrow?” Blueberry Milk thought to himself as he fidgeted with the hem of his sleeve again. Blueberry Milk decided to go to the same place around the same time tomorrow, because their conversation earlier was pretty fun!
Blueberry turned his attention back to the papers he was supposed to be grading, they were pretty good! Some spelling mistakes here and there, but overall most of them were getting the point across!
---------------------
The next day Blueberry Milk was wandering through the forest again, he was looking out for the silver tree he saw yesterday, and also keeping an eye out for any cookies as well. Once he found the tree, Blueberry looked around again just in case the cookie he’d met yesterday happened to be there, but when he didn’t notice anything Blueberry Milk decided to plop down on the grass and let his mind wander for a bit.
Blueberry Milk ended up daydreaming a solitaire game in his mind, and he was about to win when he was suddenly brought back to reality by a familiar voice “Uhm, may I sit here?” the voice said. Blueberry milk looked up and saw Pure Vanilla standing slightly to his right.
“Oh! Sorry, I didn’t see you over there friend!” Blueberry Milk apologized “But yes! Feel free to sit!” Pure Vanilla moved closer and sat down next to Blueberry Milk. “Sooooooo, How's your day been?” Blueberry asked, leaning forward slightly, “It was fine.” He said flatly, “...What about you?”
“Well lets see, today I was teaching my students about some of the wildlife located around beast-yeast..” Blueberry said as he looked up slightly, “Your students?” Pure Vanilla questions as he looks over towards Blueberry, “You’re a teacher?”
“Oh, yeah! I suppose I didn’t mention it during my tangent the other day did I” Blueberry said as he fidgeted with the hem of his sleeve
“But I am a teacher at the Blueberry Yogurt Academy in the Yogurt Village! It truly is a lovely little academy.”
“I see. It sounds nice.” Pure Vanilla replied
“It really is! There are these two students who are exceptionally rowdy when they are around each other, but they are really sweet!”
“Candy Apple and her older brother Black Sapphire always get their work turned in, but they tend to make it a competition sometimes”
Blueberry Milk says as he brings a hand up to his mouth trying to stifle a laugh
Pure Vanilla listened and nodded quietly as he listened to Blueberry Milk speak about his time at the academy and his students, as well as his many topics of interest.
Just like the day prior, the topic of this conversation had somehow derailed into some other thing that Blueberry Milk was seemingly very interested in.
Pure Vanilla would add some of his own thoughts and opinions on a few of these topics as they came and went.
“Oh my! Time sure flies!” Blueberry Milk said as he turned his attention to the now darkening sky above the two of them.
“Indeed.” Pure Vanilla nodded
They spoke their goodbyes and left today’s conversation at the tree. As they returned to their respective homes. They thought, and hoped, the other would be there, at that spot, under that tree, the next time they wandered to it.
