    The betrayal, as Harry still called it, stung, despite the long years and many new lives between. For centuries the hurt and loss that made up his first two decades on earth clung to him like a bowtrukle clinging to a wand tree. Many a time in the past did he try to quell his ire and forgive his former comrades, his mentor, his friends; but the rage just kept burning. But, perhaps, all along he wanted deep down in his heart to be angry, Merlin knows he has a right to be. Perhaps he had always needed this anger to keep his sanity intact… It was too bad that most all of that anger had faded long before this.

    After all, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
