The story goes:
Josh is about to get jumped (s03e12) but the men only manage to get one tiny punch in before a knight in the shining armour shows up (Tommy) and saves the day. He’s all “What is going on here??” and then uses the magic of muai thai to knock one bad guy out, incapacitate the date guy (can’t remember his name, don’t care) but the third one escapes (it doesn’t matter though cause they gonna get the plan from the other two)
Josh is all 🥹😍🤩
Tommy tells him to call 9-1-1 (this is where the prompt comes in) and kinda listens into the convo (and notes that the cute guy he just saved introduces himself as Josh the dispatcher and it kinda clicks in his head that he heard his lovely voice before uwu)
Then there is chaos when police arrives, they whisk them both into the station for statements and in the end they don’t really have time to say a word to each other before they need to go their own ways.
Josh is still a bit traumatised by what happened but also can’t get this beefcake of a man who came to his rescue out of his head. Maddie is all “omg it’s your prince charming, you gotta find him!” and Josh is like “he’s probably straight and even if I was to break the law and stalk him I think I’m just gonna give up on dating altogether and stay single and miserable for the rest of my life. Romance is dead.”
Meanwhile Tommy knows a guy who told him Josh was on shift that day and decided to check up on the cute dispatcher with a dreamy voice he sometimes hears through the radio and maybe score a date or ten.
He makes sure to bring flowers and all.
