He stops her hand from moving. “Are you sure?” He searches her face for certainty.
She gulps and thinks about her answer. He wonders if she’s thinking about Alfie. “Maybe this isn’t the best idea,” she eventually says.
Colin deflates, casting his eyes away from her and up to the ceiling. “You’re right,” he agrees.
“Unless,” she starts, and he’s snapping his gaze back towards her, watching with bated breath as she blinks her eyes open to stare at him surreptitiously. “Maybe if you put it in and don’t move. If neither of us come, we wouldn’t be fucking, just keeping each other warm.”
