Naruto laid on the ground almost lifeless as he heard Sakura pleading for him to get up. He could feel the tears fell on his face and the choked sobs she was trying to hold back.
He could hear footsteps approaching them. Judging by the chakra nature he guessed it was Sasuke.
It almost hurt knowing that Sasuke and him really could have been something. Maybe in another life.
He knew he was going to die. Even if he did live, what would be left? Why live in a world where nothing is left?
In the beginning of the war he was optimistic. Too optimistic if you ask him, but after Neji died he could never find that optimism he once had.
Thinking of Neji still hurt. It was one of the many deaths he could have prevented. Another one being Kakashi.
He always had a small thing for Kakashi. He would never admit it out loud though.
Only him, Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru, Gaara, and Lee are left.
Although he would hate to leave the shinobi world left this it can’t be helped.

As he’s falling into unconsciousness a bright light appeared. The Sage of Six Paths was there in all his glory.
Naruto looked up at him, he wanted to bow but something was stopping him. Maybe this was a sign that he’s actually dead.
Hagoromo looked at Naruto and said,” Although you didn’t accomplish what you wanted. Maybe you can in your next life.”
Before Naruto could say a word his vision went white then black.
When Naruto woke up he was on an unfamiliar island. It was clearly destroyed you could see many skeletons laying around.
Although after he saw some faded and clearly worn down uzushio spirals. It was clear that he was in uzushiogakure.
But how? He was just speaking to the Sage or Six Paths. He remembered him saying something about another life.
When the breeze picked up he saw red hair strands. He grabbed his hair in disbelief. It’s now a deep red and reached to his low back. Now that he thought about it it looked similar to his mother’s hair.
At that moment he had to see how he looked. As he was making his way inside to village he saw a journal or was it a diary?
It had a plain brown leather covering and when he opened it the name Reishi was in bold letters. Was this his life now? He did need a new identity because he’s pretty sure he time traveled.
This whole thing is so confusing. Sure he was far from the idiot he once was, war does that to people.
But that doesn’t mean he’s a genius like Shikamaru or even Sasuke. He now just have common sense.
Naruto begins to look around the village in fascination. This was his home. Sure in he’s only half Uzumaki but he can still felt a sense of belonging.
It seemed like hours of exploring and wondering around the island when he found an abandoned clothing shop. It was small and obviously destroyed by natural causes.
When he stepped inside of the shop it looked exactly as he expected. Old and dem with a bit of loneliness.
Although what was interesting were the clothes. They were in perfect condition.
He didn’t know much about seals and sealing but the store owner had to have put some strong preserving seals on the clothing. Thank Sage they did.
The clothing was stunning. Most of the clothes present were battle kimonos with intricate designs and patterns.
He was sure they had meaning but he just didn’t know yet. Naruto was determined to find one.
After some time, he found one the seemed to reach out to him. It was a blue short kimono that had embroidered waves and orange koi fish on the wide sleeves on the end.
Was he having an identity crisis? The old him when never even consider wearing something like this.
He probably would called it “girly” or said something like,” that’s what kunoichi wears.”
Nowadays, though he couldn’t care less. Back then he was so desperate for attention and just copied what everyone else did.
Although, leaving everyone behind hurts he can start a new life here in this timeline. Maybe he can give his younger self some well deserved attention.
But he still needs to do many things one of them is killing Danzo. That man if you can even call him that is just to far gone.
He also needs to deal with the Akatsuki. He’s keeping Itachi, Nagato, Konan, and possibly Obito alive. He should just kill the others.
Who knows, he’ll cross the line when he gets there. For right now he needs to try on this beautiful kimono and start studying anything he gets his hands on.
