Work Text:
Sapnap woke up to his phone ringing loudly. Well, it wasn’t his personal phone it was for work. He quickly cleared his throat and picked up the call and waited for the other person to talk first. “Is this Blaze?” a low, rumbling voice asked. “Hello handsome, it’s me the one and only. What can I do for you today?” he replied, his voice dropping a bit to sound suggestive. “How much for a fuck?” the man wasn’t beating around the bush.
You see, Sapnap is a prostitute, a common whore. With college taking a lot of his time, he needs some quick cash and his pretty face and body makes him a lot.
“That would be $200. You still in?” the man on the other side scoffed, “Isn’t that a bit much?” he asked and Sapnap rolled his eyes. “Maybe, but no does it better than me. So?” he hated people like this. His prices were literally on the website he has, why are people so fucking stupid? “127 Starlight avenue, apartment number nine. Be quick,” the man hung up.
Sapnap stood with a sigh, what an asshole. But the guy seemed desperate so he knew it would be quick and boring and if he got lucky he would get two or three calls before he had to head to his afternoon class at 2 pm.
He took a quick shower where he fingered himself open, brushing his teeth next. Sapnap decided to put on a red lingerie set and put a big fuzzy coat over, zipping it up. Less clothes meant that he could leave quicker. He put both of his phones in a little bag he usually took, put his shoes on and then headed outside, grabbing his keys on the way. He got into his car, popped a mint into his mouth and drove off with a tired sigh.
He took the stairs once he got into the apartment complex, scanning the doors. Which apartment was he looking for again? Yeah, six. He walked another flight of stairs, number six finally showing on the door right in front of him. Sapnap took a second to himself to breathe and then knocked on the door.
He definitely didn’t expect a hot young guy in his twenties to open the door for him and tug him inside. The boy looked stressed as fuck. “Thank god you’re here. The kid is in the living room so just-” did he hear that right? A kid? A CHILD? Who the fuck is this guy, he might be a prostitute but KIDS? Hell no. He was contemplating calling the police, when the guy, who was still talking, tugged him through the hallway into the kitchen.
“So there’s food prepared in the fridge, but Jimmy can be really picky so if he doesn’t want to eat you can just order pizza, okay? Here is my mom’s number in case anything happens and you can’t reach me. I’ll give you money for the pizza and you can also take him for ice cream or go to the playground down the street, just take the keys, they’re by the door. I’m so sorry this is so rushed and all but I didn’t check the time properly and I’m already late for the meeting. Thank you so much for coming on such short notice. I will pay you when I come home, okay?” Sapnap just stood in the kitchen, completely shocked. He nodded dumbly and the man disappeared into the living where apparently is a kid he is BABYSITTING.
The man appeared but before the ravenette opened his mouth the sexy blond man was by the front door, “I’ll come home as soon as I can!” he yelled and the door closed. Sapnap rested his head on the cold countertop, weighing his options. He could call the guy's mother or the police or he could just stay there and take care of the child for a bit.
He went to lock the door, feeling a bit paranoid. He looked at himself in the mirror and swore (in his mind, he was mindful of the child's ears). He couldn’t walk around in lingerie. He turned around and opened the door in front of him and looked inside. The bedroom looked like it belonged to the man. He quickly slipped inside, opening the closet and taking a first pair of sweatpants and a random shirt he saw and slipped the clothes on. He left the room with his jacket in hand, hanging it by the door. Now breathe in and out Sapnap, it’s time to meet the kid.
He walked in, Jimmy not even noticing him. “Hi, buddy!” he sat on the carpet next to the boy, who finally lifted his eyes off his toys. “Hello. What is your name?” he stared at Sapnap, the poor guy becoming nervous. “I’m Sapnap. And you are Jimmy, right?” the kid nodded and looked him up and down. “Why are you wearing daddy’s clothes?” fuck fuck fuck fuck.
“You know how there was the big storm yesterday? There are puddles everywhere because of it. And when I was walking here, someone drove too close to the sidewalk and splashed all the water on me! Can you believe it? Your dad gave me dry clothes,” Sapnap pulled a story out of his ass. “Okay,” was the response.
He suddenly remembered the guy he was supposed to meet. He and the father of this child were not the same person. He sprinted across the flat, picking up the phone and sending him a text saying that something came up and turned off the phone. He checked the time on the phone he usually used before he shoved it into his pocket.
He walked back into the living room, getting comfortable on the ground. “Do you like Spiderman?” Sapnap asked as he watched Jimmy play with the action figure. “Yes!” the kid nodded happily. “But I like Iron Man the best,” he showed the other figure into Sapnap’s hand, asking him to play with him.
After they finished playing, Sapnap helped Jimmy to tidy up the toys. “What else do you like to do?” Sapnap asked. He had no idea what to do with a child. “I like drawing and the swings! Daddy always pushes me really high!” Jimmy jumped, reaching up with his hands to show Sapnap how high the swing would go. Sapnap checked his phone. It was 10 am.
“Do you want to go to the park? We can go swing if you want. And then we will come back for lunch,” the kid screamed happily and ran to the door. “Hey hey buddy, wait!” Sapnap caught him. “We don’t yell inside, alright?” the kid nodded, looking up at him with those big green eyes. “And you have to change your clothes. We can’t go outside in jammies!” the boy pouted but led Sapnap into his room. They chose some clothes together and left when they were ready.
Sapnap didn’t really want to go outside. He wanted to wait for the babysitter that was supposed to come, but it’s been over two hours and doubted that they would show up. So they walked together, Jimmy holding Sapnap’s hand tightly.
“Sap sap! Push me, push me!” the boy ran to the swings, kicking his feet as he waited. “Hold on tightly, okay?” he didn’t want Jimmy to fall or something. When Jimmy had enough of swinging, they moved to the slides and the boy somehow managed to convince the ravenette to play tag with him.
Sapnap was sitting on a bench, watching how Jimmy played in the sand pit. He would have to give him a bath, jesus fucking christ. He took his phone out, checking the time. He stood up, walking up to Jimmy. “C’mon buddy, it’s time to go home,” the boy pouted but didn’t make a scene so Sapnap couldn’t even complain. It wasn’t even that bad or Jimmy was just a really nice kid.
Sapnap wanted to take everything he said back. The boy wasn’t a nice kid. It was a loud annoying demon. He had to wrestle him into the bath, the angry yelling turning into sobs as he sat him into the water.
Our babysitter had no idea what to do, but he somehow managed to get out of bath time alive. Jimmy was sitting at the dinner table, sipping on the juice Sapnap poured him and waiting for the pasta that was heating up in the microwave.
“Do you want to make a welcome home card for daddy? You can give it to him when he comes home,” which, the guy better come home soon, because Sapnap didn’t want to miss his class.
Sapnap was getting antsy, hypnotising the clock in the dining room. If the guy doesn’t open the door like right now, he will miss his class. He huffed and looked over at Jimmy, who was colouring in the pictures both of them drew. “I’m done! Can you write welcome home daddy?” Sapnap nodded and took a pen but Jimmy stopped him. “No no! This,” he shoved a purple pencil between his fingers. “Okay mister,” he smiled.
Jimmy was in the living room watching Cars and Sapnap was tidying up the dining room and kitchen. It was already 3 pm, but the boy already accepted his defeat. He was washing the last plate when the front door slammed open and then he could hear quick footsteps, and the man from that morning was looking around his flat frantically.
“Daddy!” Jimmy jumped from the couch and ran up to his father who hugged him tightly. “Look, daddy! I made you this, Sapsap helped me,” he said proudly and showed him the card. “That’s so cool!” gasped the guy, only now noticing the ravenette standing in the doorway. “Darling, can you go to your room? We have to talk about boring adult stuff,” Jimmy just nodded and left.
The guy looked Sapnap up at down. “Who the fuck are you? Why did you come over? And why are you wearing my clothes!” he grits through his teeth, trying to be quiet. “Now you’re mad? You could’ve just asked me in the morning! I spent the whole day looking after your kid and even missed my class,” he whisper yelled.
“You still didn’t answer! Why didn’t you tell me that you’re not the babysitter?”
“Why didn’t you ask? I’m Sapnap. I messed up and accidentally ended up here instead of apartment nine. And you are a pretty shitty father to let your kid alone with someone you never saw before. I was contemplating calling the cops but decided against it because it would just cause problems, you should fucking thank me!” Sapnap exploded.
“My babysitter bailed on me and one of my friends told me that their friend could come and take care of Jimmy. So imagine my shock when I finally turn on my phone a see a message from the girl who was supposed to be here, apologising for not coming,”
“Listen, apparently we both fucked up. I’ll just get out of your hair,” Sapnap started walking but the guy caught his arm. “Wait you still didn’t explain the clothes. And I’m interested in why you were headed to the weirdo from nine,”
“And I still don’t know your name,”
“Dream,” the hot guy laughed.
“You see. The weirdo from nine needed… let’s just say company because he was feeling alone. Which means I had to borrow some clothes, since I didn’t want to traumatise your child,” Sapnap explained. “What?” Dream asked, with a dumb expression on his face.
“You idiot. I fuck people for a living and didn’t want to run around your child in lingerie!” he hissed.
“Oh,”
“Can you show me?”
