Work Text:
Queen Ariel of the kingdom of Tirulia sat quietly in the dark. A single candle bathed the tiny study in its soft glow. She'd been thinking a great deal regarding what her husband, King Eric's nasty siblings, had done to their daughters, and she couldn't help but pen her thoughts down.
Someone once told her to write it down if she needed to vent. Also, writing your feelings in a poem is a fantastic way to express how you honestly feel. Let the words flow as you let your feelings go. Therefore, that's what Ariel set out to do as she penned poetry with stunning cursive handwriting.
Eventually, she finished her poem. She skimmed over it to confirm there weren't any spelling or grammar mistakes. Finally, she quietly read it aloud to hear it with her own ears.
"One of land, the other of the sea, yet each would only be happier if they're together.
A deadly bargain struck, leaving the sea princess and her friends out of luck.
Winning her true love's heart in three days isn't enough time for something so sublime.
Yet two worlds and hearts will become one when we all meet at sunset."
Only it hadn't happened in three days, had it? It had taken five years to retrieve her voice and dethrone the Sea Witch Ursala. However, now that everything was sung and done? All that was left was for her cherished family to have fun!
