Cruel Irony 1

Summary:

This is for my mental health concerning the rise of mass shootings and lack of gun control. I'm using this story as a therapeutic tool to deal with my feelings on the subject.

So don't bash me if you disagree with me. But, again, I'm just trying to work through my own emotions. Anyway, enjoy the modern-day AU where everyone is human!

Angela And Vixen

The three sisters were curled around each other at the Davids' apartment. The nightly news had just concluded, and today's top story was another mass shooting. The reality mass shootings had become an everyday occurrence was unbearable. It disgusted all three sisters when politicians would post videos on their Twitter accounts waving handguns everywhere after mass shootings.

Did these people have no shame? How could they not understand this was grossly disrespectful to individuals who lost loved ones, who had lost children because they refused to crack down on gun regulations? Their mother/stepmom, Elisa, had become downright revolted. Bad enough, countless officers used deadly force and killed individuals without justifiable reason.

But to witness people like their governor declare, "I support the Second Amendment?!" The second amendment was the right to bear arms. However, it is meant to protect yourself from enemies when at war. It didn't mean making AK47 available to anyone over 18! It didn't mean not doing meticulous background checking, or individuals should be found mentally qualified to possess a firearm!

Elisa remained responsible with her gun. She kept it sealed in a double-locked steel container; one lock was a key lock, and the other was a combination. Plus, she kept it concealed away from her daughters. She'd witnessed many cases in her profession where people were reckless with guns, and innocents paid the price.

So what made tonight's news story most despicable? The same governor who ridiculed the school shooting in Texas had now just lost their own child to a mass shooting at their school. Consequently, cruel irony and karma had paid the gentleman back big time.

It wasn't something anyone desired. However, if life wanted to teach those who ignore it or others mourning a lesson? What could be worse then this? Are you claiming you support the second amendment?

That you wave a pistol around on your Twitter page after a shooting expressing you still endorse firearms? Right after children have perished? What worse punishment could the universe hand you than taking your child away in the same manner?

Perhaps you'd think twice before claiming you advocate something that had been twisted so far out of its original context. But unfortunately, it doesn't seem like there be any alleviation from gun violence anytime soon. But again, how many more individuals had to perish before doing something? Must these idiots lose more of their loved ones to gun violence?

When would they wise up? Quit supporting guns and do the right thing! They should stop worrying about who was lining their pockets! Instead, focus on the actual individuals who've DIED! God help us all!

Notes:

The frustration and anger expressed in this passage are palpable, reflecting the sentiments of many individuals who are tired of witnessing the devastating consequences of gun violence. The sisters' disgust with politicians who continue to prioritize gun rights over the safety of citizens is a sentiment shared by many who advocate for stricter gun control measures.

The tragic irony of a politician who previously mocked school shootings experiencing the loss of their own child to gun violence underscores the senselessness of the situation. It highlights the fact that no one is immune to the devastating effects of mass shootings, regardless of their political beliefs or affiliations.

The passage also touches on the responsible ownership of firearms, emphasizing the importance of proper storage and handling to prevent accidents and tragedies. Elisa's careful management of her gun serves as a contrast to the reckless behavior of some individuals who contribute to the epidemic of gun violence.

Ultimately, the passage calls for action to address the root causes of gun violence and enact meaningful reforms to prevent future tragedies. It urges politicians to prioritize the safety and well-being of their constituents over political agendas and financial interests. The emotional plea for change reflects the frustration and urgency felt by many who have been affected by gun violence in their communities.
