    It wasn’t as much fun as meeting in the light of day, but Bats tended to work best at night.

    Still, after calling and canceling again and again, they finally landed on a time when they could meet up and hopefully catch up. It was going to be a great day. Dick had been anticipating it for over a week now. He was at the door to the bottom floor apartment in the Narrows with a duffel slung over his shoulder and his heart all but running a marathon without him.

    What were they supposed to do? Were they supposed to talk? Were they supposed to have… lunch? Were they supposed to screw like bunnies to make up for lost time? Was it presumptuous to even think that was an option? Dick didn’t know where they stood anymore.

    The longer he stood in front of the door the more the possibilities in his head became possible disasters.
