He faintly remembered Flame ranting to him about familiars and offering gifts that they would appreciate. With his newfound knowledge, he patted himself down and pulled out a single alchemic potion he had made prior to exiting the alchemy lab. The glass glowed a luminescent green, it was a mint potion — one he had devised to cool his body down during training faster; would such a potion work on a feral stray cat?
Deciding it was better than nothing, he briskly popped open the cork and laid the liquid out in front of the animal. It attempted to hiss at his motions but quickly retreated into the shadows when the substance poured out. It hesitantly looked at the liquid and tentatively stuck its tounge out and licked in small amounts of mint, its posture visibly relaxing from the much-needed hydration its tiny body craved. Meanwhile, Baek Yuseol swiftly picked it up by its scruff and held it in mid-air, its mouth soggy and wet from lapping up the potion, and its legs flaccid for a moment before they started thrashing around uselessly.

Yuseol's face was in his hands, sitting in a position that would make an average person assume he was crying, and muttered out, "Yuseong-ah, I'm glad I can consistently entertain you, but why must you appear now of all times?"
Flame, who was sitting next to Yuseol, attempted to soothe him with occasional pats to the back for a few moments, before she decidedly returned to the main reason she came here: interrogation.
