It was only when Jin Zixuan unintentionally passed the room holding Wei Wuxian while trying to calm down his son did A-Ling miraculously settle down. Since then, he has slept peacefully every night. Yanli expressed, in the quiet and security of their bedroom, that perhaps Wei Wuxian's spirit soothed A-Ling and continues to do so.

    At the least expected times, Jin Zixuan swears he can hear the distant sound of a flute.

    But when he stops to actually listen for it, he hears nothing.
