Summary
Sherlock's school reunion has come up, matched with a retirement party for one of his most influential professors. He's reluctant to go, but his good friend John finally talks him into it by agreeing to go with him for support.
“Jesus, Sherlock, it’s just a picture,” John entered the fray with annoyance. Sometimes Sherlock forgot how lucky he was to still have his parents around.
Sherlock’s eyes darted to his with an intense look of betrayal, “You are aware that you’re meant to be in the picture with me?”
John flushed, because he hadn’t actually thought that was the case, “Why in the world would I be in the picture?”
Sherlock sighed heavily, “Because, John, you are my plus one.”
And like a ton of bricks falling from the sky to bury him beneath a pile of understanding, John realised what this entire evening was going to look like to outsiders. To Sherlock’s former classmates...the bullies.
To the rest of the world, John is Sherlock’s date tonight.

Summary
Holmes gets called away suddenly to solve a case and writes letters to Watson keeping him informed. Two of the letters contain an unfamiliar comma in the middle of a very familiar phrase. Watson frets over what it’s supposed to mean, if anything at all.
“Holmes stepped closer to me; merely an intimate distance separated us. It was not uncommon for us to disregard personal boundaries, but with my mind currently hung up on an incriminating comma, it was closer than I was comfortable with.
“Tell me what is troubling you,” he requested softly, showing only genuine concern for me.
I looked up slightly, into his eyes, and shook my head again, “I cannot. It’s impertinent, improper, and quite possibly indecent.”
“My dearest Watson, there is nothing you could say to me that I would judge you harshly for. I know the good man that you are; there is no danger here.”
My heart leapt at the endearment and I knew that I could not continue living like this, ever wondering if there was maybe something more between us than friendship.
“On the contrary, I fear that there is incredible danger in what I am about to ask of you.”"

And— Aziraphale looked down at what he was holding. Flannel pajamas, tartan ones. He was going to have to go back out there and face the ever-elegant Crowley in his night clothes.

Crowley set the treacherous phone back in it’s cradle and gave it a glare for good measure, as if it could think about what it had just done, attempt to remedy the situation, and ring again with a more amenable Aziraphale on the other line. “Oh of course you can slither on over dear,” this Aziraphale would say. “Pick up some of those chocolates on the way, you know the ones I like.” Crowley did. The shop was closed, but not so closed that a few well placed miracles couldn’t shake a box of truffles free.
The phone remained silent.And then Crowley mopes around his flat until theres a knock at the door.
