“But I trust you,” Cassian said, and those words fit so exactly what she’d wanted to hear for so long that she could barely stop herself from throwing her arms around him. “I know you can do what I can’t, for the mission. But I can help you better by your side than sitting in a ship talking in your ear.”

Jyn took a breath, forcing herself to be calm. “I trust you, too, Cassian,” she said, trying to say it and make it true.
Cassian looked in her eyes and smiled again. And as simple as that, it was.Force, she was so fucked.

Jyn and Cassian's first post-Scarif mission as partners. The heavy losses from the mission they led force them back into the fight early in order to rescue a kidnapped Rebel agent, and they have to overcome their inability to communicate as well as the enemy.
