Nami looked down on where Luffy was half sprawled across Zoro’s lap, sleeping. He looked peaceful, despite everything. She focused on the only visible scar left on the captain’s body after the fight. “I think only his arm took most damage from the burns of the metal ball.”
“I’ve noticed.” Zoro carefully took hold of Luffy’s right wrist to inspect it closer like he wanted to do before but there was no time. The band of burnt skin circled his thin wrist like a wrong sized bracelet. It looked painful, but not once did Luffy mention it, and not that Zoro would expect him to, there had been worse injuries, but it didn’t mean Zoro wasn’t worried someone found Lufffy’s weakness and exploited it in such a way. He brushed his thumb across the marks on the skin, if there was any pain left he tried to soothe it away.Or: Small post-Skypiea fic of their last night on the island, celebrating and resting together. Zoro and Nami talking a little bit about the battle, and wondering about Luffy's luck and ability to survive lightning stikes. Lot of fluff and Zoro being too far gone for Luffy.
