“Amy, dear?” Theodore brushes his feet off on the front step, calling out into the house. He tugs the door closed behind him against the bitter winter wind, groaning a little at the snow that escapes him but ultimately ignoring it. Untwisting his scarf from around his neck, he glances up the hall. “Amy?” He kicks out of his shoes, tucking them in their place before wandering further into his house. God, it’s almost as cold inside as it is out.
The voice that responds is weak, a little sorrowful, and echoes out through the empty house from the parlour just near. “I’m in here, Laurie.”

On Christmas Eve, Elphaba finds herself nestled into the protective curve of a tree’s trunk, roots pressing up around her and Fiyero in a coveting, cradling fashion; they are somewhere between the last place and the next, cool winds whistling around them, the broad green landscape the same as all they’ve seen for a few days now. In all honesty, Elphaba doesn’t know where they are walking; where she’s leading Fiyero. She only knew, when her and Fiyero planned everything out, that she would have to go away somehow.
And this– well, this is almost as away from Oz as Elphaba thinks she could get. It is beautiful, but it isn’t like home; but after all, she thinks to herself dryly, there isn’t any place that is like her home. That feels such a blessing and a curse simultaneously.

Summary
Tommy has always been able to see ghosts.
Usually, they stick around for a few days or weeks, maybe several months before they get what they need to move on. There was one ghost, however, who appeared when Tommy was young and seemed to be unable to get the closure he needed to let go and so he just… never left.
He got used to it, after a while, and Daniel became a consistent companion throughout his life.

“Ah,” says Tomlinson, turning his glinting eyes back to Harry. “So you’re not an endurance man.” A beat passes, and his grin grows, wide and filthy. "Shame."

And yes, I know it's over and done with. I just—I guess I want to know what was going through your head when you did what you did. Because I'm struggling to come up with a reason you would deliberately put yourself in harm's way like that."
The blonde moved around the hospital room grabbing his turn out coat off of the end of the bed and moving toward the door. "I've still got a few hours left on my shift. Doctor said I'm fine, so I'm going back to the firehouse. I'll call you later."
