Summary
This is the second installment in my Hearts Universe. If you have not read The Heart of Everything, I recommend you do so before beginning this work.
For over half of his life, Castiel has been kept imprisoned and tortured by his eldest brothers. Denied the throne he was born to hold and beaten into submission, Castiel had never dreamed he would escape. Until he did with help from an unexpected source. He quickly met Dean, and together they set out to discover a better life and escape the dreary existence they had both been surviving. Now, they face new challenges. While preparing for war and seeking allies, Sam has gone missing and fallen into the hands of the last person any of them would dare to face. Along the way they discover their entire cause may be in danger and those close to them scramble to pick up the pieces before Michael and Lucifer close in on Dean and Castiel.

Summary
Dean should be content with his life. He's almost done with his nursing program, his brother is flourishing at Stanford, and his best friend and roommate, Cas, just scored an apprenticeship under a well known tattoo artist. With everything going so well for both himself and his loved ones, Dean should be ecstatic. And he probably would be, if he could ignore one pesky detail: Dean's hopelessly in love with Cas and has been for years.
Dean determined long ago to keep his feelings to himself. He figures he missed his chance to tell Cas years ago, and at this point their friendship is too valuable to risk damaging. Summary
When photographer Dean Winchester is not capturing momentous occasions like weddings and graduations with his Nikon, he is moonlighting as the cameraman for the South Shore Paranormal; a ghost hunting series on YouTube, headed by his brother Sam, and Sam's best friend Gabriel.
