Loki is tormented by these words as he sits on a lonely throne at the end of time. He watches his friends lives go by on the timeline and wonderes what he could have done differently.
Mobius is sleeping on the beach looking up at the stars. He swears he can hear Loki's voice in the waves. His retirement is cut short when Dr. Strange arrives asking about the fate of the multiverse.
This is a big gay fix-everything fic. Lokius canon, lots of hurt/comfort, lots of character development and healing, eventual smut. All the good stuff.

Once the loom was saved and everyone was returned to their timelines Loki finally has a little family of his own. He's put in a lot of work to be the person they need him to be and he's watched the two boys grow and live to the fullest they can. They have some rules though. Rule number one highlighted, underlined, bold, circled in red and glowing with neon was that they never go anywhere near New York. Sean is getting ready to attend college and the allure of a forbidden place cannot be ignored any longer so...he decides he's going to New York. Oh joy.

Five minutes, they’d been alone for five minutes. Just the time it took for Mobius - or Don, but that would never sound right to Loki - to check on the neighbor that had rung the bell, and so he was left by himself with two children that were looking at him like he was a particularly interesting cat they found lounging in the backyard.
